    '98 e36 compact 318ti | California top | daily driver progress log

This thread is dedicated to my daily driver, as a progress/ project. this is by no means a crazy swap story, this is a rare car I ran across summer of 2012 at a auto auction and had to have, I will post pictures of the car from day one of my owning to present. I feel the car is pretty much where I want it to be (for now).

body work really sucks when your OCD. I spent 5 full 10 hour days just on prep work and 2 days on paint (reshot the hood twice)
    ---
preparing the hood, bumper, nose panel and fenders for paint

I was happy when I found out that the fog deletes fit from a non m bumper to the m bumper

Maybe in Massachusetts, but in the PNW i haven't seen many. Some unconfirmed claims are that there were only 600 of these shipped to the states.

              Either way, great write-up Geno.

Good to know I'm not the only one who likes Ti's. Now if only I can find an Alpine with a cali top, cloth int. and M package, I would be happy

Wow way to bring her back to life after the accident!

I actually like it more with basketweaves over the black wheels, but it's your car :p

Not a fan of 318ti cars, but this one is very nice, indeed. I preferred it better on the E38 Style 5s, myself, but it's your car, and if you're happy, that's all that matters.

thanks guys. I too think the style 5 look better then the style 44's, but I hate the et20 crap it rubs. not exactly what I want when my fenders have fresh paint

Not that I am aware of, it was not listed in the build spec sheet. Never felt the rack was overly slow so maybe.

Just added our Racing Dynamic rear spoiler to the car. Had the dents taken out and the left and rear side repainted. Came out vey nice. Need to add the Stromung cat back to it now. That's been sitting in the storage unit for two years.
