    Alpine track rat

Since my car keeps blowing up, I figured the project forum might be better than members rides , lol. This is my alpine track rat that hasn't made it to the track yet, and summer is gona be over soon!
I melted a piston and killed my turbinetics t3/4, wasted the block when that happened. So I thought I'd post some pics of the current state and progress. The turbinetics was to much to fix so I picked up a new HX35. It's the turbo I wanted in the first place anyways. Also bought a m20 from a guy close to me with 91,000 miles, wich is about 100,000 miles less than my last one had. So I cleaned it up and am about to stick it in the bay. Just gota drill and tap my block for the return. This is the last m20 ill be using. They are just to hard to find, and to much money. I thought m20's would be like disposable, and easy to replace every time I blow one up, not really the case anymore. Dang.

looks awesome, its time for a 24v.

Out of curiosity, what power do you make with that setup on your m20?

damn thats some carnage. Interested in numbers too, how much boost were you running when that happened?

Well the car never made it to the Dyno. That's probably the problem, me trying to get the tune just right on the road instead of settling for some extra richness. At 20lbs I would loose traction on the hwy with 235 r comps on it.
As soon as its running again ill be having it tuned by somebody that does that for a living. Maybee a little less boost. It was already a beast to drive, traction definately a problem.

Got the new block ready with a couple small details before I put it back in the car tonight. Drilled and tapped it for my oil return, also changing the crank case vent set up and getting rid of the bitch tube. Bolted my clutch masters fx300 up. Ex mani back on with all new hardware.

Have you used this location before? how thick is the block in that location? I'm thinking about tapping it for an AN fitting, then JB welding or sealing it in place.

Second block that I've drilled for the return. It's very thin and easy to tap and drill in that location. No room for ac though, lol. I like that spot because its so much over the oil level in the pan.

Did you have to roll your fenders pretty hard to fit 245's squared?
