You stated your opinion once, then found it necessary to start tossing insults. Give it a rest.Goon? lol. The car looks good, just saying the whole volvo upside down lip is like putting cheap ugly ricey parts on your car. If thats what you like then go ahead good for you. My opinion is that an OEM IS lip with maybe a Ryan G splitter looks way cleaner and much better.
Go to the track and you'll see many, many, many e30s running with non-OEM lips off of other cars (and many of them with volvo lips). The front lip is functional aero, and the Volvo lip is arguably more functional than the IS lip in an aero sense, so there's nothing ricey about it. You've got a front euro tag bolted off-center on your bumper. I'm betting there are people on this forum that would call that "rice" as well. But that's how you like it so that's all that matters. Same in this case. If we all had the exact same mods on our cars, it would be pretty boring around here.

Just be happy that you have a lip on your car. For the people who use volvo lips, it's a very good alternative to spending over $100 on a lip, not saying the IS lip is better or worse, everyone has a different budget and the volvo lip is a cheaper creative solution to having a smaller budget than others.

In the Nissan scene a few years back, the popular swap was the OEM lip from the Mach1 Mustang, which was almost a direct fit on Sentras and Maximas. And looked much better than aftermarket stuff that cost 3x as much.
I don't think a lip would work very well on my e30...Stage rally/rallycross e30 build/competition journal

Sorry then for the quick defense travish325. You know how these forums get sometimes. You try post something up to maybe help some people out, and people just slam it. Lots of people are running a volvo lip, and i just wanted to add my recent install as a helpful how-to. I'm real easy to get along with normally. Haha. @Cambiocorsa, I agree, $130 isn't bad for a lip, but this is a total buildup on this car, not just a replacement part. I'm a widowed father of twins, this is the first thing ive done for myself in years and my money is tight. There are a lot of things that need to be done before I spend that much on a lip. I agree about the side flare, but it is fixable. I just haven't fabbed the bracket yet. It seems like everyone is just zip-tying these on, I was showing a better wayComment
