That MS1 is still kicking strong and running great on 10psi... ;)

Love seeing all these turbo m42 threads now. Yours is coming along very nicely.

What's up with the AFR target load settings? Mine is setup as with kpa units on the left, not a load %. Would imagine it would be hard to tune without the exact kpa? Or am I missing something...

It's 7kpa per 1lbs of boost. So 170% is 10psi. Same thing, just renamed :)

          Thanks!

Update, got rid of the afm finally. Idles perfect with the ICV intact. I am now having a USB signal issue while trying to road tune. Going to try and run a ground to the USB shield to see if that will help out.

            On another note...

Pulled an S54 out of friends m3. Worked on finishing up friends duel webber installed 2002. About to start installing that s54 into an e36 m3.

It's time to address the headgasket, head studs, clutch and flywheel. Found multiple leaks in the process.

Where I got before I decided to call it a night.

Got the new clutch/flywheel, head gasket, and head studs on. Noticed that my front timing profile gasket is leaking pretty bad. Time to pull it back apart and correct.

I've heard, and read, it can be a real PITA. I'm not in any hurry to do one on mine. *crosses fingers*

Good luck on your next attempt being the last one.

Yeah it's not fun. Hopefully this is the last time.

On another note I've got an electrical issue. Car starts, but windows, a/c blower and aux fan don't. Thinking pinched reverse switch or I wired up my m20 starter wrong.

Yep, just trying to track down where the short is. Only 2 things were touched during this. Starter and reverse switch. Ive triple checked the starter. It matches both m42 and m20 bentley manuals. I'm using a late model bosch rebuilt starter so there shouldnt be any wiring differences internally.

Ended up not using the smallest connection post on the m20 starter. Everything works now.

Took a trip to Dallas in the car for Easter and on the way back the car started making a loud rattle on decel and above 2500rpm. I haven't touched the car, it's been sitting. Either something in the timing chain guides is messed up or the cam tray is loose.

Why did you got with an m20 vs m42 starter out of curiosity?
