Finally getting around to installing an intake temperature sensor. On the AFM harness pin 4 and pin 5 are for temp. Pin 77 on the DME is the IAT sensor input.

Does anyone know for sure if pin 4 or 5 on the AFM lead to 77 on the DME? I'm trying to not hack up my harness. I have a plug extension for the AFM I am going to cut and wire in. Ive been digging through the bentley manual and electric troubleshooting guide for the last hour. I'll keep going, but if someone already knows it would help :)

Sweet! I ended up taking a break from searching and forgot to get back into looking.

So it looks like Pin 4 on AFM goes to 77 on DME for input signal. Pin 5 on AFM goes to 14 on DME for ground. That look correct?

Still working on getting a time to get a full tune done, but the car did well at it's first drift event.

Thanks! It's been running great. I'm still surprised its held together with the amount of miles it has on it.

I know this is a silly question, but what kind of gas mileage have you been getting? How does the "fun factor" compare to the way it was when it was N/A?

Running through my mind right now is "turbo the M42" vs. "24v swap" vs. "something something V8"...vs. "just finish painting the damn thing and get it back on the road"...I'm sorry, it's late, I need sleep ;-o

I am still getting between 25-27mpg during cruise and town. If I stay out of it, the drop in mileage isn't all that noticeable. It is still there, but not all that bad.

Fun factor is without a doubt more fun with the turbo. Before I could keep up with friends e36/e46/e90's in corners, but I would be left in the dust on the straits. Now they cant get away from me and in most cases I can get around them and start to pull away.

Sometimes I wish I had gone 24v swap for ease and reliability. However, when I drive my car I dont regret my decision to turbo it.
