Well. Nothing to update from this weekend except this.

The end of my weekend was spent in the ER after a motorcycle accident. So as a result, nothing got done. Hopefully I'll feel alright soon so I can get some work done.

Gear up boyo. It's the only safety one has atop those things. Armor is your friend. Fortunately road rash like that goes away after a few years. I know, trust me

Posting from the hospital, I had surgery to clean out my left knee this morning. We were riding two-up, Steven was on the back, and I was an idiot with no clue what I was doing. Came towards a slight curve in the road, started to brake, the bike didn't slow down as I expected and I braked too hard, sliding out the front wheel. The road was repaved badly and the surface was basically little rocks (smaller than gravel) barely stuck into the tar. We lowsided on the left side and rolled a bit, then slid. Distance covered was probably 40+ feet, the bike slid 92' according to the police, and it jumped a curb so it's pretty fucked. We had helmets on but no other real gear. Lesson learned.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Fixed. I left bikes alone years ago after one lucky accident and a handful of fucked up and killed friends. Still a wonderful experience.

I believe there is a picture a few pages back of the look I am going for, but yes. Everything will be welded out and made into a smooth finish.

Exciting news... Welding is taking place this weekend. Power washing the bay tomorrow morning and rolling it into the garage to do work.

Also removed brake likes and a bunch of other stuff from the bay so it's easier to move around.

On another note I got my first college acceptance letter! UND!

                              Update--12/14/2013

Lots of welding was had today. Some progress was made

Before working on the e30, i worked on this bad boy.

Front end crash. Friend wanted me to spot weld him a new healight thing on fo him.
Then it was on to power washing the bay. Once that was done, I rolled it over to the garage

Started to line up the first piece

Got distracted and filled and primed this.

                              Tacked it in.

                              More tacks

                              Welded and ground down.

Partially... Need to figure out a way to get in the corner...

I started taking less pictures toward the end so I could get on with stuff.
                              Welded and ground.

                              Tacked up.

                              Done for the night.

I also learned a lesson in fire extinguishers today. I forgot to check what we behind the firewall at the battery tray area and was welding it up when all the sudden i saw a bunch of flames. Yay. That was a mess and a half to clean up and no pictures because... Shame.

Other wise it went good. Might do a tad more work tomorrow, but most likely another update will be had next weekend.

Wait what the fuck did you light on fire? Behind the firewall on that side is like the DME/glovebox area.
