Looking good man. Can't wait to get mine looking more like a car and less like a pile of parts

Great pics. You've got your priorities straight I think :-)
If you're doing bearings I assume synchros too..
Nothing like a rebuilt shift linkage.

    Priorities have changed a bit...

I got my injectors back from mepeh. They apparently were in great working condition already.

    Before

    After

I also bought a new walbro fuel pump to replace my in tank pump (I believe its dead), and a new fuel pressure regulator.

I went to Tim's Custom exhaust, 20ish minutes north of downtown Minneapolis to get my muffler properly installed. The exhaust clamps I used leaked pretty bad, and the muffler kinda hung down a little low.

Unfortunately, my transmission has been sounding a little loud lately. Ive heard some people say its normal getrag rattle, and some that say it needs a rebuild. I plan to first swap mt90 fluid into it to see if that has any effect. Then I will pull the trans and replace all clutch/shifter related parts. If the noise still seems excessive, I will look into replacing the bearings in the transmission.

    New pressure plate, clutch

Release bearing, pilot bearing, pressure plate bolts, bell housing spring, pivot pin.

I also noted that the pilot bearing doesnt have any casings around the actual bearing...I thought that was odd. I bought this one through blunttech but ordered a new oem one in the hopes that it has casings on the bearing.

    The one I got

The picture from ecs for the genuine bmw part

And the procedures to install it, nice to have. Figured it might help someone

So because of the transmission stuff, all my suspension stuff is getting delayed a bit. But when the transmission is out, I plan to replace all the shifter components. I also bought a z3 1.9 shift lever, we will see if I like it. ;)

And just a quick two pictures to show how shes looking currently

I have to wait for my injectors before I can move the car.

No kidding. Cheapest place I could find them were $550 for the pair.

Got some good stuff in. :)
    • Aluminum Control Arms
    • Control Arm Bushings
    • Front sway bar end links
    • E90 Drop hats
    • Rear sway end links
    • Exhaust hangers
    • High pressure PS hose
    • Fuel lines
    • Vacuum hose

Unforuntately, usps sent my injectors to the wrong post office. They were supposed to be delivered on the 11th, but even now they are still in limbo somewhere in CA. So once those finally get where they need to go and back to me, Ill get all this stuff installed. :)

I think the new VIN decals are visually different from the original ones. If I understand correctly they look like the current model VINs. I could be wrong though.

Things are starting to get rolling again now that the weather is warming up.

My face when its suddenly in the 50s and I can work on the m3 again

Pulled the injectors and send them off to be refurbished.

Grabbed a picture of the engine vin sticker while it was still in one piece.

Somehow this missing nut went unnoticed all last year, lol.

And grabbed one of these. My current windshield is not OEM and leaks air on the highway. Still need to buy the oem bonding materials and seals.

    Thank you blunttech ;)

Someone on s14.net mentioned they bought a new windshield, and it came stamped with a new brand called "Starglass". I'm glad this one is the original manufacturer.

A suspension order is in the works to replace everything I haven't already. That includes aluminum control arms, control arm bushings, sway bar end links, and drop hats for the front.
