Awesome project, pretty cool to see another red m30 car in az, I just finished my swap, but it's a b34 with a 2.93 LSD. Goes 60mph in second gear, it's a hoot! Hope everything goes smoothly

Have you made a purchase from www.blunttech.com recently?

I got 2 Zinno E30s! Aha. Awesome, I hope my Getrag 260/6 with the 3.25LSD does the job. Thank you!

This swap cost a 1000. 500 of it was generated from stuff I pulled off the car. You could do this swap in a weekend.

For me, I was referring to the other crap going on with my car. Like the brakes, b35 compression test woes, paint, etc. The swap ain't the thing. Haha!

                        Today I finished:
                        • E32 Aux Fan Install and Connector Extension
                        • Engine Wiring harness completely installed and sealed up
                        • Painted Water Pump and got it installed on the engine
                        • Started assembling some little things
                        • Cut the Radiator Supports to accomodate the E28 535i Radiator
                        • Started stripping the sound deadening material on the blower motor cover
                        • Hammered in the lower firewall and transmission tunnel

Pictures tomorrow! My damn order got delayed. Looks like no parts till Friday or Saturday.

Rented hoist Monday, got engine out of its corner and onto the garage floor where I threw together the last bits to get it together. Go to throw on the Transmission and realize I have a dual mass clutch not a single mass...
Was already pretty late so I just called it a night and went to bed...While asleep... I woke up to no blanket in sight and a sore throat in a frigid room. Wake up next morning sick as a dog. (Flu or Strep)

I just threw in the engine without the Transmission bolted up because I had to return it later that day. Totally said screw the pictures I wanna get this over with and sleep. So I get back and throw every swap part in the corner and have been recovering since.

More updates to come, the only things I am missing to hoon this bad boy is a Voltage Regulator and Single Mass Clutch Disc.

                          In other news!
Exhaust Set Up: Stock Down Pipes to Magnaflow Dual 2" to Single 2.5"(With O2 bung welded in) to Thunderbolt 2.5 High Flow Cermanic Cat to Summit Racining 2.5 12" Glasspack/Resonator to some mid range priced with warranty DTM Muffler(Eventually a Borla Spitfire)

Ordered up new SurTrack CV Axles.

I have replaced the entire Stock Drivetrain.
M30B35, Getrag 260/6, Rebuilt Driveshaft, 3.25LSD and SurTrack CV Axles.

Dont fret! I will be writing a detailed guide on a E30 335i Swap, a bunch of them out there but none that say do these exact things with this exact stuff and wah-la! 335i.

do you have to do anything special to get the ac working in this swap?

Nothing special, just a bit of grinding on the stock m30 compressor bracket to make the m20 compressor fit.

I actually didnt need anything at all to make this work. My M20 Compressor(Still sealed) bolts right up to my M30 because they have identical compressors.
