At least your new pedals will be there today and they'll help take your mind off the damn trim :)

Amen to that. Installing door locks is one of the most frustrating, fiddliest jobs I've done on these cars.Comment

Got down pipes pointed in same direction wrapped. Had to cut the front one up and redo the bends and now they both go straight ahead. Also got the wrapped. Not using oem heat shields so I'm using another method. Gonna use the peel and stick heat shields from summit and then wrap it. This should hold the heat in plenty. The peel and stick shield is rated for 2000 degrees.

I have read bad things about exhaust wrap. What's the skinny? I'd like the clean, finished look in my bay and if it improves performance I'm game.
Why did you choose to wrap?Comment

Really what have you heard? I chose it because with the way my floor pans are from my repairs they don't conform 100% to the stock ones so fitment is extremely tight and oem heat shields would not work at all so I just thought of an alternative which was exhaust wrap and a peel and stick heat shield. Rated for 2000 degreesComment

Only moisture it will see is the wet panties in the passenger seat tehehehehehe but yea i doubt it will see much of anything besides sunny days and a bath and coat of wax. Plus i will probably turbo it before those rot away and as long as i don't take it for short drives and allow the exhaust to get hot it should dry out. Cause i know short drives on cars will murder your exhaust.Comment

So day two of building the exhaust didn't go as planned just cause i didn't get done with it haha.
I got the down pipes back in and merged into 1 and then got the muffler drop made and mounted the muffler.

All Done. This car has so much torque i love it!! The joy was short lived though cause as I went to brake for my first corner I had ZERO brakes good thing i was going up a steep hill and just coasted around the corner. My pedal is solid too like ZERO give to it at all I could also tell the front calipers weren't even trying to bite so I think they may be frozen. Also once i parked it and turned it off it decided it didnt want to start back up. OH the joys of a freshly built car... Now to work the bugs out.
And you guys probably thought I'd leave you with no sound clip.. Im not that mean.. I'm not slammin either so burn outs will come in full force once she has kinks worked out.
St1G can you make the video work??Comment

The only issue with wrap is if you have a significant oil leak at the valve cover and your headers soak with oil the wrap will act like a candle wick and you'll have an engine bay fire that you can't put out.Comment

Ah yea. I see what your saying. Good thing the valve cover is new.Comment
