cool to see you still making progress on this. you and the car have both progressed a lot over the years. kudos to you, man.

Pretty much done. Got a couple wires to wrap and tighty up and need to sheath and clamp the plug wires as they wont fit in the stock holder sadly. Then It's going to my buddies To build the exhaust on a lift cause I've built one on jack stands and really don't want to do it again. Hopefully in a couple weeks I'll be driving it and tuning it.

More progress. I got the throttle cable mounted with a custom bracket.
I got the grills back in and fitted up the valance to find where I need to trim.
Last but not least I got the alpina style vent gauge wired in
Only thing left engine bay wise is to run the vac lines which im waiting to come in and wire in the wasted spark which Im still researching on how to do. and build the exhaust

I figured out the the Megasquirt issue was a bad ground wire on the board it self. Got it fixed and added two extra grounds for good measure in case one fails.
Intake side of intercooler piping is plumbed and ready to go oil feed fitting is on the housing and its bolted back up. As well as the alternator bracket.
I also got the throttle cable situation figured out. A RHD e28 535i cable was the perfect fit I just need to make bracket for it out of some sheet aluminum and bolt it to where the Alpina delete plate is on the intake.
E28 cable VS stock e30 cable
Once the bracket is made for the throttle cable. The big engine bay work is pretty much done except for buttoning up a couple things and cleaning the hood for some heat tape.
List of things to do are:
Throttle cable bracket
Wire in gauges and wasted spark
Build exhaust
Install riv nut on frame rail for PS res
Plumb vacuum lines
Blast and paint VC in Wrinkle black
Replace spark plugs and Get new plug wires
Trim and reinstall valances and headlights/grills
Do a final nut and bolt check
prime engine oil circuit
Load up start up tune and then do some light driving/pulls and data log it to make tweaks I am hoping July fourth weekend I can start it up or be really close. I Know I will have some gremlins to figure out so Its a big goal to be ready in 3 weeks since I only really get to work on it on Friday nights and Saturday most the day.

Been working on the car some. Got the oil pan off an back on with the drain line fitting installed that was a nightmare wasted a fitting cause the cast was so dirty even though the pan looks spot less and i preheated it a bunch. Had to cut the first fitting out then spend 6 hours letting the pan warm up in the oven at 500 degrees for 3.5 hours then proceeded to spend the remaining time grinding to GCM and then brushing and scotch bright padding it and heating it up with a blow torch. Had to weld the new fitting to a sheet of aluminum and then weld the sheet to the pan. Those welds turned out great after much cleaning.
Got the intercooler piping done from the turbo to the intercooler
Turns out if you have a non AC car the punch out for the AC dryer is the perfect spot for IC piping its like it was made to be turbo'd I gotta tidy up the headlight wiring since the cover will likely no longer fit.
Had a slight brain fart and didn't even think to measure my throttle body so the 2.5 inch coupler wont work since its 3 inch. Waiting on a 2.5 to 3 inch 90 degree coupler to get her to do the intake side of it. I the mean time I got the IAT sensor pigtail wired and started to do the TPS wire extension only to find out the wires for the variable portion of it were broken at the connector so Im looking for a 6 pin pig tail to use.
I moved my ignition coil not and grounds to the valve cover not sure how well it will work with the vibration and weigh. Could possibly crack the cover not sure. Still need to pull valve cover to blast and paint to match intake that will be last. I started mocking up the Down pipe as well, need to find pics to see how others do it thinking a 45 into a 90 will do the trick. Also bolted up the turbo and manifold for good last time it was just on by a couple bolts to hold in place
Also if anyone has some insight with megasquirt. I Plugged mine and it has lights on it to show that its powered up the lights arent on even with the ignition on. I haven't touch any power wires except for the grounds and i moved them back to the original spot and still got nothing. It wont connect to my laptop either so I'm not sure where to go with that never used a MS system before.

Alpina intake Is on just need to extend the TPS wires and the AFM wires to wire in the IAT sensor. Bought a RHD throttle cable to be able to runt he flipped TB. Started on the oil pan hoping to get it off and back on tomorrow night. then it will just be a matter of IC piping, running vacuum lines and building the exhaust.

Got the intercooler mounted. Made some mounts for it and got them all tacked in. Will need to weld them out and paint them. Also got intake pulled. Will be blasting the alpina intake and paint it and reinstalling it before pulling the oil pan to keep the explosion of parts off the car at a minimum. Got a feeling Im gonna have to do some trimming on the metal valance wont need to trim the alpina though.

Got the turbo mocked up. stupid exhuast manifold studs came out of the head instead of the fresh bolts so gotta get the nuts off an reinstall them. Hoping today I can get out there and get the oil pan off and get the front bumper off and mock up intercooler.
