Its more of a satin. Once its fully cured I will put some conditioner on it and it will probably shine up. Someone needs to buy my air dAM and extra wheels to pay for a new cluster. I want a reman. I need to get more dye to finish the interior.

Wow those seats! Mine have small cracking like shown, didn't even know its possible for them to be perfect again like yours. I've conditioned them quite a few times, guess I need a better product! Sucks about the wheels man, hopefully you'll find a better set later on.

It takes more than conditioner. Conditioner only prevents cracks. The cracks are still there, just not noticeable unless you look for them. I'll take a better picture again. Thanks for the encouraging words regarding the wheels. I need to get a new cluster before I buy wheels. Need to sell some more parts.

What leather reconditioning kit did you buy?

Seats look great! As for the cluster, have you tried looking for a u-pull it or a pick-a-part around you? Might be cheaper to get one that way.

I already got a cluster from the yard. Replaced the SI batteries, odometer gears, bulbs and I put it in to find the odometer doesn't work. I am done fucking with it. I'll buy a used cluster but everything must be known good. The kit I bought is a www.leathermagic.com kit. I spent $135, but i need to buy more dye. I did more than seats though. When I am done, I'll know what I used in total.

making more progress

facelift valence on there. its not in the best of shape, but it was off my parts car.


Some interior pics, all done except for a new cluster and have to install the knee panel. i need to diagnose the inop turn signals first

Overall i am happy with the dye kit. i think i may try a different brand than this next time. it did ok, but i was expecting better. i definitely takes a lot of practice. if anyine is going to try to do this, my suggestions are to put the filler in as light as possible. i mean it, scrape it off the leather, then use a wet finger or towel to clean up around the tear or crack.

i am curious about the wear time on SEM products vinyl paint. i would almost have gone that route. i had to spend another $45 on more dye. we will see if it holds up.

Tagged the car a little earlier than expected. Surprisingly didn't have to fix to much stuff. I need to adjust the harness in the wheel wells. Sealed beams are terrible. Update with pics later.

I think I am going to sell the car. Looking for $4500 firm for all my e30 stuff I have minus the Borbets. Must bring your rollers. Car is daily driven and just completed 3 1400 road trips. I am really busy right now and will not be able to make an ad for a few days. PM me.

Included with the car is the left overs from the parts car, spare alternator, M50, 2 getrag trans, extra glass, doors, trunk, and more.

All the car needs is paint. Very minor body work
