Did some more to the motor today. I disassembled the head, honed the block and started grinding the valves. Tomorrow I will host tank the block, head and other bits.
Also found out that my camshaft is trash so a new camshaft will be ordered.

Block is hot tanked and the head is currently in the tank. Got a new cam, rockers, collets, eccentrics and piston rings on the way. Also got my valves ground and ready to roll just need to do the seats.
Progress from tanking the head. Gonna turn it back on in the morning and finish it up.
Multi angle valve job is done. Gonna start assembling the head after i figure out my valve spring ordeal. Not sure if i should replace them or not. Your guys thoughts?

Got the rotating assembly put in and oil pump is rebuilt just need to put it on the block. I will get the block finished up Thursday. I need to send the head to get the guides replaced from what I have read in the Bentley we don't have the tools at my school to do that. Then I can assemble that.
Once i get it assembled I'll mask it off and make it all nice and pretty with some fresh paint.

Sweet!
Got a pretty much complete short block now. Just need to get the oil pan back from having drain fitting welded on.
Also decided I'm gonna do valve guides my self and made a nice homemade guide driver out a 4.6 ford intake valve
More to come next week.

Engine is rebuilt and coming home Thursday most likely. Once its home and on one of my own stands I will paint the block and clean up the timing covers with some light grit sand paper to give it the fresh look. Also gonna send the valve cover and intake to Dave at renewed to have them painted purple with white ribs, we wanted a color that would match the Daytona violet paint.
Thursday Is when I will also be starting on the rebuild of my transmission. We try and do a guide/step by step of that since there really isn't anything out there.
First started by getting shift fork etc off and empty the fluid. Then took out the 6 bolts for the input bearing cover.
After that I took off the cir clip around the inout shaft i did not get a pic of these steps but found some on google
Then i took out the case bolts
Then i took out the reverse light sensor and pried out the cap with the spring and pin i forget its technical term lol
Took out the reverse gear shaft bolt
After i did that it was time to separate the case.
I then took off the out put shaft flange using a machined down 30mm socket and 3 jaw puller. After that I took out the reverse gear locking plate and the gear it self.
More to come Tuesday when Im back in the transmission room.
