Cant wait to see this thing with the S52 in the engine bay. Im guessing you will be right around 2550 MAX with the S52 in the 318. Still quite a bit lighter than the late models you wouldve you waited for

Plans changed to that s50 I was asking for wiring about, but I can't wait for the early model with the 24v, should be pretty fun regardless. After it's all back together, hoping I can afford to do a full suspension overhaul early summer. (Doing condor bushings now, but new coils and sways).

Quick updates, I've been busy working and not taking pictures (odd because that's what I go to school for...)

Making friends do grunt work! (Rack swapping)

New water pump on the daily! (bleh, only took 45 minutes though)

          #bae #h20iprep #stancetomakeherdance #hashtag
But for real, just doing the framerail fillers as a slight shave for OEM+ look, getting painted henna again and all the stock stickers will be going back on if I can find them (I believe the dealer can get them). No wire tuck either.

Coated floorpan, only have a picture of this side.

Sorry for the potato pictures, but I doubt any of you care that much. Got some more of the 24v swap parts (oilpan, pickup, gaskets and such) and my condor bushings in, so that's all slowly coming together. Subframes are back in with some suspension components. Going to try and stick to the update train more frequently, I had some big projects and stuff going on at school that just finished up, so I have more time to work on the car and my CB430.

Damn.. looks like your gonna beat me to an S52 Henna car. Car looks great man. It pains me to see all that rust. What're you planning on doing suspension-wise? Final goals for this car? sorry if I missed it, kinda skimmed through reading lol.

Keep up the good work man!

Sorry for the crazy delay on this response, been super busy with school/the car haha. Ended up being an s50 from a 95m3 with a ZF behind it! I put it in the car last night so I'll throw up some pictures shortly.

As for suspenion, just did all condor bushings, and hoping to do a full Ground Control kit by mid summer, with ST or IE sways at the same time. It's gonna be pretty crazy, but I'm extremely excited.

Mine will be S52/G260 (unless I can find a 6 speed) with headers, injectors, tune, euro HFM, KAMotors intake, M50 manifold, slight porting, with a full dual 2.25" mandrel bent exhaust with a Borla ProXS and Vibrant 1040 muffler. And if I get bored, I'm looking at a blower kit for it.

That's gonna be tight! I've got an Aktive chip on the ECU from the PO, with dyno sheets at about 245/246 average. Planning on doing a custom intake and eventually going boosted of some sort. Exhaust is going to be Vibrant 3" all the way back with resonator and muffler.

Sounds like a perfect set up if your not going crazy, something that'll make good power, but not be unbearable.

For suspension, I'm currently piling up parts for Konis/GCs with GC Race plates, Powerflex Poly bushings, and for sways, I'm going with Bimmerworlds sway kit. $470 for 22mm/19mm sways, 80A poly bushings, reinforcement plates and adjustable end links. (It also helps I get a discount through sponsorship)

Boosted 24v's are overkill IMO. My car has a M52 with S52 cams, but is pretty light compared to other E30s (at least 250lbs) and I can pull on some fast new cars, most recently a modded RS4. Pulled on it on the freeway, even with my 250lb brother rolling with me.

Totally forgot to finish updating this thread! The car's been finished for a while, however a but janky because I needed to get it on the road asap.

However, a recent trip to ship my buddy's car out to California left us with an empty trailer for the trip home... and I bought a new roller with absolutely no rust, partially stripped for paint already, so this thread is ready to die as a full new build will slowly come together. One that will be documented much better, and much more attention to detail paid.
