If I understand correctly, I can get the MS3 daughter board and expansion board and upgrade my MS1.....

MS3x, run wasted spark with 2 V6 GM DIS units, or EDIS if you want (assuming it is pretty much the same thing, but ford)

Should be pretty easy to wire it up too.

When you coming back to the midwest foo?

Hmm....If I understand correctly, MS2 will work for the v12. Stock the m70 batch fires 3 injector at a time. I'd have to leave the distributors though, unless I make up some kind of dual 6cyl EDIS system....which it seems people have been doing to run Jag V12s for years....

I'm such a newb on MS, lol.

Well, I guess then you need the harness and the O2 sensor.

That just blows the "budget" way up now.

I'd like to get it at least running on OE so I have a baseline to go from too.

....and because I'd love love love to have it going before January for snow romping ridiculousness.

We'll see. 8.8:1 compression is tempting.

Hmmm.......I'll have to look into this. I'm really stuck.....do I go Megasquirt, or OE. I would recommend one thing... since you are changing so many gasket and seals..
take the head off also .. its dead easy,,

i took my M70B50 totally apart and changed everything except pistons and rings,, all bearings etcetc

timing the M70 is also dead easy... the M70 use the same tool as M40,, and can be made by your self

Since you are using the oem manifold gasket again (as i did) i really recommend that you contact Max Lumens... on Bimmerforums,, he makes a thin siliconegaskets that you put between your oem on head and manifold... cheap,, and brilliant solution

if you want any info ,, you are welcome to contact me

i wish you all the best with this project

nothing beats the V12........... look and smoothness
Oh yeah, been following you. Going to check a rod bearing when I reseal the oil pan. If it's good I'll seal 'er up. I'm really adverse to pulling the head unless there is an issue requiring it. Def going to hit up Max for the gaskets.

I drove the truck today.....Jesus.....can't wait to get 6 more cylinders in there. Interstate driving is so agonizing.

    Still love this truck, lol.
