Yeah, I'm sure with a relatively fresh 2.3, that car will really move. Is it completely assembled besides the things you just mentioned? Any new pictures to share?

it needs the throttle cable and the air conditioning system to be finished being fabbed. i need to redo some of the stereo as i dont like the sub placement. all small stuff. the main car just needs exhaust to drive. no pics as its filthy but warm weather is almost here. i need to check every bolt under the car and then drop it down and wash it. ill have some pics soon

Damn, 4 years is a long while. I may have read and forgotten this, but what kind of rebuild did you do on the s14? 2.5L?

nope no 2.5. i started with an 80k mile s14 so i couldnt justify boring it. i didnt even rebuild it. i just did rod bearings, oil pump,chain and sprockets and all new timing guides and components. the cyl walls were really nice and the motor had never seen a track so i will run the car like this for a few years and then look at doing a 2.5 once i get bored with the power. but it should be a nicely balanced little car thats fairly quick and fun.

well the car is alive after a frustrating 2 days of trouble shooting. i had spark and fuel and the injectors were cycling but no fuel. turns out the injectors were merely gummed up from sitting for 5 years. of course its always the last thing you check.... a little tapping while i spun it over loosened them up and it eventually fired and smoothed out. good oil pressure but a slight oil leak i need to address. i dont even care about the oil leak, im so pysched its running.
i have a bunch of loose ends to tie up and then as soon as the roads are decent ill trailer it out to my buddies shop for exhaust work. its such a good feeling to have it running after a 4 year project.

Good deal, im sure we can arrange dinner and a moive, given that if i pay i expect some sort of sexual frustration to reach an end on the same night. As well as the floor will need to be cleared by yourself, i have far too many boxes ontop of the m3 to take care of and the room o' crap is the least of my worries.
