I'm sure you guys would be able to work something out. Message him probably just substitute the manifold out for your own.

Our goal with this car is to spare (few) expenses and have it done with the best fit-and-finish possible.

I put together my own turbo setup on my E34 M30 turbo car, which was fun. But I'm looking forward to trying a bolt on solution this time around!

Get a kamotors kit. Best 2500 you'll spend.

Install it after the tranny is in the car. Why not piece together a turbo kit. Way cheaper. The most expensive part of piecing together a m20 turbo kit would be the manifold which would be around 1200 for a made in the USA by hand manifold. Could of gotten a almost mint harness for 120 btw. To each his own.

May be shifting to a money-saving phase for a couple of months. We're looking to purchase clutch, exhaust, and turbo kit from TCD.

Is it better to install the shifter linkage with the transmission mounted under the car, or outside the car? I'm concerned about dragging the shifter lever under the car while maneuvering engine + trans into place.

Because we've apparently decided to pretend that this is a kit car, and we're buying almost everything new that we can. We'd also like the peace of mind of knowing that we have a fresh, uncorroded harness.

Why do you need a new harness?

That would be roughly $530 with taxes and shipping.

UPDATE: ECS Tuning cancelled my order, as it was NLA in the U.S. However.... BMW of South Atlanta was able to confirm SEVEN (7) harnesses still available in Germany, so I should have one in 2-3 weeks.

Just curious how much is a new harness from bmw

That's what I was wondering... is it as simple as direct-wiring each spark output to the corresponding pin on EDIS?

Looks good so far, you should find the same Bosch drivers should power the EDIS. Keith can confirm though. (this is Andrew from IE)
