The VIN is on the rain tray, and what I believe is the Motorsport number is next to it.
Since the car wasn't built for USA (according to some info) it would go against the US not getting any Motorsport chassis. We'll see.Comment

So long as the suspension is as it came from the factory, it shouldn't be too radical. Should be very similar to the early GRP. A M3's with heavily reinforced trailing arms and possibly dual sheer control arms up front as well as true coilovers in the rear.
Edit:
Here are some relevant pages in the 1986 325i Group A Homologation papers. The cage looks similar to the homologized one, but not exactly alike.
