Hey guys, I figured I would start a build thread for the newest addition. But first I'll introduce myself, I am an e30 for 12 years and going, my first car was an lachsiber 88 325is that I still own and use as a race car, I drove it through college and she still puts a smile on my face. I currently daily a 99 e39 540/6, great car but she breaks the bank on repairs. The newest brilliantrot coupe I bought from a customer, a friend bought it to fix and drive but drive I'd not have the patience for her. I bought him out of it after it became a complete bourdon, I think his wife had some say too.
Enough of the back story. The car is a 90 325is with only 73k on the clock and all original panels. But even with low miles it has seen better days. The paint and interior is shot. And I've been itching to build another e30. So far I have stripped her down and started to get her ready for paint.
So far I have painted the trunk lid, doors, hood, valence, and IS lip.

I have also painted the wheels (e36 fitment style 32's using 42 Draft Design adaptere)

I also upgraded the brakes with rx7 calipers, Corrado rotors, and hawk hps pads.

Went ahead and bought a set of GC coil overs and got her down low like an e30 should be.
235's are a tight squeeze in the rear, so now is the best time to roll the fenders before I paint the body.

If you didn't notice from the previous picks but I am doing a couple custom touches, the passenger key hole has been deleted and soon to be pictured the radio antenna mast. Don't worry if you missed it, it's supposed to be suttle. Here is the latest mod, I shaved the lid on the fuel door. But function comes into play. How the hell will I open it with out a tab to pull. Watch and learn, the video tells all.

I've always wanted a 24 valve e30, but never did it to my silver car for reasons of moving classes. So I've sourced one and I am getting everything together to slide her in, but there is no sense in painting the car and not doing the bay. I've started by removing the not used brackets and cleaning up some of the messy OEM seam sealer.

Not shaved but better than stock.
Started ordering all of my exhaust parts the other day.
Can you say trick muffler.

More updates soon to come
