The roofs quite a fascinating prospect. Before the car was painted you could see how the carbon was grafted on to the roof. I thought they were kidding when they said they could do it. Apparently they weren't. I will admit though, to practically sh****ng myself the two weeks they were working on it till they were done.

The finished product. I can relate to how the water pearls off the roof instead of running off in little pools of water:


I have found out that these people are so competent that I am tossing the idea around of also having the rear boot lid made in carbon like the real CSL. Then all I would need is a cardboard trunk....

Oh, and yes I am absolutely gagging to hear the engine shouting it's war cry with the Dbilas system on. I wouldn't lie to admitting that I have dreamt about the sound (more than) once.

My only complaint is how expensive JE pistons are in Europe. Dagnabbity danish customs regulations and tolls.....

So they custom built the Roof for you? you didn't buy it and just have them install it? is a carbon fiber roof available retail right now?

so with the carbon fibre roof, was it just overlayed on top or the existing roof and filled in the sunroof spot? or was the roof completely chopped off, and then formed a new roof using carbon fibre only?
