Bad news... found out that my head gasket is leaking coolant to atmosphere at cylinder 6 exhaust side... ordered head gasket yesterday. ..

I'm enjoying the build log btw keep it comming. Sucks about your head gasket issue. If it's not horrible I would add a little torque to the rear head bolts after getting to operating temp and see if that stops/ slows it. On the bright side the leak is the common external leak indicating HG and not the more common leaking into the exhaust indicating cracked head. I've done 4 head jobs due to cracking :/

My goal was to be done last year lol but I'm making headway. I'm shooting for 2 months now. But your a lot further along than me and I'm juggling 2 other engine swaps at the same time boo.

Don't bother with the oil in the cylinder... I put this to limit corrosion...

Odd it leaked with the rubber perimeter seal. You changing to an MLS?

Just learned about it as I was reading your post... read about it... maybe I should have, but not planning any boost on the short term... so I will stick with the one I have

                          Head back in place!

The torque angle protractor helps a lot when doing the two final stage of head bolts tightening
