      Way to much roll

Knew my suspension setup wasn't optimal for track usage and that I got quite a lot of body roll, but zooming at this picture made me realize that it was worst than I thought...

Basically, I have 300# fr and 500# rear with stock sway bars... since our roads are really bad, its good not have too stiff spring... but for track it sucks... We will see what I will do...

              Sure do!!!

Really like the S52! The sound, the power curve, just enough to have a lot of fun on track event!

However, I'm running it with OBD1 and I have slight pinging between 4 and 5k rpm at WOT.... My chip is form TMS. My guest is that I'm a bit too lean in this range (vs fire timing advance)... Will probably go with a custom tune next spring.

But else than that, its a blast!

                  Update

Driveshaft in the trunk means broken driveshaft... had it rebuilt like 1000 miles at a local shop but they apparently installed ATV joints... that combine with wheel hop was enough to destroy one of the needle bearing... also, they machine it a bit so it's now not possible reinstall oem type joints...

Fortunately, scored an e36 328 driveshaft for 40$!! Will get it this weekend. If I'm lucky I will be able to just throw it under the car without rebuild...

Wheel hop it really annoying and probability hurting more stuff that just the driveshaft... sublease is solid mounted and got poly TAB... the rear end is on 500 pound spring and bolstering sport shocks... will replace them with Koni. Hope it will help.

Is poly engine and tranny mount would really help reduce wheel hop? Read that somewhere but really not sure about it...

Were you drag racing to get wheel hop?

never been to the drag strip... I get wheel hop when it break loose on hard accel at like 5000rpm in 1st and a bit higher in 2nd when its cold outside (running 225 RS3). If I lauch very hard, no wheel hop but if I lauch semi hard, then I get some.

Also, when I get a taste of sideway fun, if I don't hammer it, I also get wheel hop.

                      Its worst on wet pavement.

Its, possible to avoid it, except when your getting good traction and it break loose at higher rpm in second gear... pretty annoying...

My bilstein are not new, got them used with unknown mileage... So it wont hurt to replace them anyway. Also planning on increasing spring rate.

I'm trying to think if I've had that problem with mine, and I think with the new Konis I got I haven't noticed that issue.

Sucks when you break stuff but it gives you an opportunity to make things stronger

Yeah, the koni are harder than the bilstein... hope it will help my case

Got my 328 driveshaft... inspected it: pretty tight... one on the four joints is kind of harder to move when you go max travel on each side... like is you bring it where it never been...

I will run it as is for a while and get it rebuilt if not good or in the next years...

                            A bit of cleaning:

Installed and reved it to 80mph on jack stand before putting the exhaust back... it vibrates ... Will send it to rebuild shop...

Meanwhile, received 90mm studs and open end nut!! Test fitted with the addition of 20mm spacers!! Final offset of et0 on 15x8 with 225/45 RS3

Pretty happy with the results! We will see if it rub or not...Also have a pair of 15mm spacer... maybe I will have to use then instead of the 20mm

Had rolled the fenders and cut the inner side back when I attended to fit too large wheel...
