Long 1986 e30 story ~ 24v in the works ~
Borrowed a friends hoist , I hope to have the motor pulled by next week , still some prep work to be done for that during my free time. Also need to clean up my garage while i'm at it. Its unfortunately looking worse and worse very quickly.

Long 1986 e30 story ~ 24v in the works ~
Haven't been able to update the thread because of school and I got a new job that gives me alot of hours , but that hasn't stopped me from at least buying parts the the motor swap.
Returned home at about 1:45 knowing this package had shown up at some point, mind that i was just out drinking with friends excited to now open these car parts. It gets better.

M/S50 hand-wired OBD1 wiring that came out of an S52 swapped e30 325 variant , a couple hours north in upland , fuel rail included . Everything I need electrical wise , and apparently black and venomous. Learning lesson of buying things sight unseen learned right here. Killed it , inspected wiring , looks good and complete, more updates to come. Mind you all I hate spiders with a passion, and also the dude I ordered this from, he packaged this like a 4th grader, I mean its only wiring but still.. that being said , Im going to observe his wiring and make sure it checks out.
More updates to come , Happy thanksgiving everyone.Last edited by JeLani; 11-26-2016, 03:22 AM.Leave a comment:

Long 1986 e30 story ~ 24v in the works ~
Worked on having the car running for SoCal euro , didnt work , got extremely tired of it being unreliable in the year I've had it , as some of you probably can see , had I not been so passionate about the car I wouldve sold it the first month I had it. So heres this ;
If the car isnt running it better be for a damn good reason , no motor , but one being built .
Building what will practically be a frankenstein 24v (obviously) S52, they are quite overpriced and complete form and already access to alot of parts A few rough specs include :
NATURALLY ASPIRATED ENGINE BUILD //
______________________
• OBDI conversion
• TRM 24LB/HR injector TRM tuned ECU
• 3.5 HFM
•24lb injectors are already had.
•M50 intake manifold
•M50 throttle body
•Bare vanos cylinder head, no vanos attached needs default machine shop attention
•M50 single vanos unit had.
•OBDI black widow wiring plus fuel rail attained.
•Crankshaft , found a bare block in LA i have to go buy when I have a chance.
• Need cams to accomodate the bigger injectors .
• Need internal parts such as connecting rods , found a member with new a 135mm set.
•New pistons
• Head studs
•S52 OEM Valve springs
- 2.93 LSD in the car already
-Zf 5 speed wanted , obviously do not need right now .
Thats probably 1/8 of all of the parts i need I am sure , I'm sure it would benefit me to write up a list what parts need to be had In order of Engine / Mounting / Brakes , but i've been grabbing things that pop up I know I need. Open to any suggestions on parts to use or anything I should be careful doing , but the short term plans have been decided with confidence. Now lets have some fun. Updates soon as school semester ends soon.

Alpinweiß stroker story • Fun things to come
All my bolts came in and installed most except the water pump bolts. Am still playing the waiting game for parts such as distributor rotor, timing belt tensioner and another set of head bolts. Needed safe insurance on torquing them down due to being unsure of whether i did it right the first time, but i am still learning and it is $20 so it doesn't bother me. I also have to do the oil pan gasket too, po's mechanics or whoever used some shit liquid gasket.
Other news: The test fitment of the late valance went well, still have to straighten out some bends and finish prepping it for alpine 1.
Here are some crap photos to compare old and new valances.
