So, where to start with this? ...
Well, for the past 4 years I've had my license, I owned nothing but big brutish 4x4s. 4 Jeep cherokees, 3 Early model Chevy trucks,3 Ford Rangers, And one nissan pathfinder.
Sure, having a truck is fun and all. the ability to go off into the woods at a moments whim, haul that couch home for your neighbor, and the relability in our harsh canadian winters for pushing through the snow.
But, the fun of it has worn off eispecially since gas prices keep rising.
So, I decided it was time to get a car, A.. Fresh start but I didnt want your average civic, or corolla... no i wanted something unique, something that was not pulled by the front wheels, and something that would provide some fun in the summer in my long 700km commute to work every weekend.
So i started looking and had originally set my eyes on a 88 Toyota supra, called the seller, and the deal was set to buy it. I told him i'd be there the next day with cash in hand to buy it. Now, the car was a 5 hour drive away... and i made sure to tell him that. So we packed everything up and left at 4am, making it to halifax by 9am.
Once we got there I called the seller and was promptly told "Sorry bud, I sold the car last night about 10 minutes after you called" Some certain words were exchanged and then he hung up.
So, i was 5 hours from home in a beat up GMC jimmy that was on its death bed and I was NOT going home empty handed. So i searched, and searched through the bland ads for civics with 4" Racing mufflers,Custom smashed in fenders, rotten bodys, and "JDM as f*ck" stickers.
Then I found it.
A little multicolored 1990 BMW 325I, in custom black, gold, and silver due to a previous accident. It had 240,000kms on the clock and had some rust holes here and there, but looked solid enough.
So, I called up the guy and the deal was set. (making sure to tell him not to sell the car out from under me this time!) A few hours later and i was driving home to cape breton in the First "luxury" car I had ever been in.

So, I had oodles of fun with the car for a whopping 2 days.
Then the clutch decided to quit on a hill, infront of a stoplight... in lunch time traffic. I went to pull away and I guess the little bit of friction material that was left just burnt off.
So a tow to my friends house and we pull the car apart that night.

Took us a few days, but we got the transmission out, cleaned up, and installed the new clutch provided by the PO (he said the clutch in it was good.. but just grabbed at the top.)

Plus while we were there we found the gas tank was shot... and leaking fuel badly.
Just so happened that the PO had a brand new gas tank... and a bunch of other parts but wanted to hang onto them... A quick call and a offer of $500 changed his mind quickly, so back to halifax again in my dads duramax to take everything I could off him.

This included:
4 steel rims
1 BBS mesh rim
A hood
Fender
Two factory sealed beam headlight pods
Some grill peices
One brand new in the box gas-tank
7 coils
and other random junk.
So after fighting with the gastank and having it land on my face, we got the old one out and the new one in.
Then it was time to enjoy the car!

... For a week.
The waterpump gasket failed and was leaking coolant. I could leave it for now right? Nope, the fan decided to kiss the upper rad hose and put coolant everywhere.
So,it got towed out to my other friend who is more keen around European cars
$400 later and I had bought:
A New waterpump
New timing belt
All new hoses
And a new thermostat
We took the whole day and replaced all of that

and while I was at it I repainted that one gold fender (Plasticoat high gloss black is a almost identical match with some clear) repainted the factory steelies and put some decent winter tires on them
And -NOW- its time to enjoy the car, so this is where its at now!

Oh and the PO had done some modifing himself which i thought was pretty neat. but was only scraping the surface of what it previously was.

Note the plaid door inserts and nardi wheel.
But this was only the surface of what it once was, so being curious i texted the PO and asked him was anything else was done to the car, and he sent me these.

Sadly, he had sold the coilovers and rims knowing he would get more if he were to sell them seperatly then with the car..
So, whats my plans from here on out?
Well, I still have some odds and ends to touch up and fix, but I'd like to restore the body to almost factory condition, same with the interior, lower it a little bit and stiffen it up so it'll take the turns better.
I hope you guys enjoyed my little story so far for the ones who actually read it! if you didnt read it well, atleast you got some pictures to look at
