    Another red convertible

Hey there! Finally decided to make a build thread as I feel my car is almost up to the challenge of showing off on the internet.

There are a lot of brilliantrot red verts on the roads. My goals for the car are to be super clean and real simple. Minimal performance upgrades and no slammed suspensions.

A bit of history on the vehical I am the second owner of the car. Originally owned by a doctor in Kentucky. I picked the vehicle up from his wife after his passing. Partially this is one of the reasons I do not want to overly molest the car; To pay homage to the original owner who kept the car in fine shape.

    Some before photos

So I had an 06 S4 along with my E34 rally car. The S4 was my daily. Just my luck a semi truck ran out of room and ran me over. Hit and run too! Was a 'fun' experience but left me without a car payment and a car...

Found this girl on the net and picked her up for the low of $4000

Low miles 104k, all stock, garaged car.
Since then the following has been done. You may notice there is no water pump replacement that is because I had that service performed at a shop before I drove the car to its new home (no since in risking that on first trip)

This is where she sits now.

One of my favorite add-ons would be the cocomats.com custom floor mats. very expensive but give the car a really cool custom look to the interior.

    To do:
    new seat leather
    Koni yellows
Full miller bolt on performance package
Wood grain wheel and shift knob (lots of options to choose)
    Power steering refresh
    Find a set of Apex arc-8s 17x8

I'm handy with a camera and she is one of my favorite models. Instead of posting bunch of pictures here is a link to a google album

The photos are in chronological order so you can see what gets added over time.

Updates to continue as the with the build.

Good looking car! This is a classy looking ride so I'm not sure Apex wheels will compliment them as a good set of weaves...imho.

Wheels look gross... Out of place on an otherwise nice vert.

Is that a 318i? I noticed you didn't list the timing belt. That's def something you want to replace if it's a 325i. 4k is a great deal for a plastic bumper one owner convertible with a hardtop. Sounds like you got quite the bargain

I would suggest H&R springs/koni shocks to help relieve that front wheel gap

And the koseis, while normally a great wheel, don't really do "stock" that well. And for some reason they always look better on hardtops..

Still, nice car and hope to see what you do with it!

I agree with the wheels they could be better. I like the extra inch of tire the Kosei's afford me. TBH I have had an influx of money due to an illness which prevents me from eating out at restaurants and going to bars (So basically the best parts of life besides cars). The extra scratch usually gets used for things like "$400 set koseis with tires". Its all I have to do to keep myself ocupied HA

Timing belt was done with water pump when I first bought it. The list is stuff I have done to it via my hands
