    93 Vert OBD2 S52 E46 6 speed swap

This isn't my car but it's a friend where I'm doing basically all the work. We got our hands on a Z3 at auction and used it for parts. Arc asylum is being used for the subframe/oil pan to retain the rear sump. There's also a 6 speed E46 M3 trans going in so that's a spiffy plus. I believe the wiring harness we are using is from garagetastic but I'm not 100%.

The DME has already been flashed to ignore all the emissions stuff. Also we have an OBD1 intake mani going in. A bunch of things on this swap are new to me even though I've done about 10 swaps so far. It's a pretty interesting project.

        Made some progress

I really wish I didn't have to put in the trans after the engine went in. It was a huge pain. I also don't get how the wiring harness adapter has only one pin for the 12 pin connector. Why doesn't it have a connector? Not super... aesthetic or weatherproof to me.

Thanks. Let me know if you have any questions. I might be able to answer them with some visual info in a video.

You convinced me to get the akg mounts and ditch the e28 ones. I'm sending out my oil pan and a spare sub frame to arc asylum currently. What throttle cable are you going to use?

I wouldn't necessarily say I like the Arc Asylum stuff. The rear sump complicates putting the motor in and makes things a bit more difficult to work on. I do like their work but I like the front sump better.

Throttle cable is an E34 one I think. The one everyone uses. But sadly the OBD2 throttle body doesn't work for it. We might have to get an OBD1 version.
