Weighed the car yesterday and it's 2660lbs the full interior, spare and jack, and a half of tank of gas. 205lbs lighter than a m3, I'm happy with that.Leave a comment:

The haltech couldn't see the speed sensor and now I know why. Brown with yellow is ground on the stock honda harness on the left.

Put a few miles on the car and it start to smoke bad under hard deceleration and the brake fluid level kept going low. The brake master was leaking fluid into the booster and the motor was sucking it up and burning it so.....

I went to get it inspected and ran across what I assume was a stock 335i. I was able to pull 4 cars on it from a light with my a/f ratio at 12.2:1. (still tuning it)Leave a comment:

I had to repair 3 of the window switches and I got my 10 day temp tag so I can get it inspected. I'm picking up a used cluster until I can decide if I want to send the stock one out to get it repaired and add a 9k tach or just get a IQ3 racepak.....also picking up a 4.10 lsd diff.

We will finish up the temporary 2.5" exhaust so we can put some miles on the car. Once we are happy with the design of the mounts, we will start on the 3" oval inconel exhaust.

I know, I know
Well the problem with the the lack of power to the window and blower motor relays is because of the wiring harness. I jumped the power in the the fuse box and found only one of my window switches worked correctly. I guess I'll being learning to rebuild window switches this weekend.
I'm also not happy that the front is sitting so high even with the e90 drophats. We want to put some miles on the car first but we may be getting custom springs made in the next few weeks.
and for the people that need pics, three turbos, an Andrews transmission, and a Honda F1 header.....

All this talk about crazy tires and that 345/35-15 and guess what I saw the other day behind a dumpster at the local Chevron station: a discarded very worn 345/35-15 Pirelli!!Leave a comment:

Well that trans is worth more than my entire e30 build but you can get cheaper transmissions that will work but the whole setup won't be cheap.
Got a small update on the e30 that I will post tonight.Leave a comment:

Not to mention there must be a lot of those motors seeing they came in the Odyssey, which were known to have transmission problems.
EDIT: Holy cow! There's literally dozens of them at wreckers in our area for $500-ish for 2000-05 and $700-ish for 05+. Sounds like a good engine for chump/lemons.Leave a comment:

Your E30 is cool but that Volvo is friggin sweet. Those are some huge tires. After reading about it being swapped into a Miata I wondered why that J-series V6 isn't a more common swap, with how light it is. But I imagine RWD transmission options are tricky.Leave a comment:

Whoa! Who made that bellhousing?
Oh, and how old are those Countach tires?
*** Edit: NVM. I see they're still available from Tire Rack, at $790 PER TIRE!Leave a comment:
