I saw someone mention doing a cut/buff on your clearcoat and you said you only put two coats. I'm not a pro, I just painted my first car as well. But, what I did learn is sanding clearcoat is the most stressful part of the entire process and if you mess up it sucks horribly. I had 3 coats of clear and I sanded through on the back pillar, through the clear, and even started to see primer. Boom, had to re-color/clear the entire body because there aren't any breaks.

Car looks great and the detail you've put in is awesome.
    Thanks man!

Year that's my biggest fear with the paint.

    Civil/Structural Designer.

I work with engineers to design roadways, earthwork, railways, concrete and steel structures for oil & gas and petrochemical plants. Basically I do CAD stuff all day, 3D modeling, drafting, as well as survey.

    Right?!

I told him that had I known of what was involved, I would have just bought new ones.

Don't let them replace that with some shitty $100 'Cardone' axle - even a 30 year old, 200k mile Lemforder is way better. Now you need a new axle, bearing, hub.. damnit.
I have new GKN axles, new bearings, lock clip, the lot. I just needed the arms stripped down, reinforcement tabs welded on, and the axle pressed out.
He was able to source a used hub locally too, so that's NBD.

Right on, Once I get the car running and driving I'll look into it further.
I have all the tools, 6" sanding discs, DA polisher (I know it takes longer, but it's possible) I'm just worried about cutting through the clear.
