Monday was a great day, I got the bumpers and valence mirrors back from the body shop with new paint. I also had him do the side mirrors and the brake duct inlets. The paint is very good. Not perfect, but I don't really care. It's got some areas of light orange peel, but other than that, it's gorgeous. It's a deep, glossy black, and this isn't a concours car, it's not a show car, it's my project car, and it looks great. I can always wetsand the problem areas later, but right now, they don't bother me at all. So without further ado-do, here's the pics:
And now, in a few weeks once I've recovered fully from my surgery, I can start putting them together and on the car.Last edited by Jand3rson; 12-06-2006, 12:17 PM.Comment

Yep, I was friends with the guy who owns the shop's son in high school. Apart from that, I've been going there for years for whatever little car stuff I have, and he's always given me a good deal.Comment

I did all the prep work on all these parts, and they also had 3 coats of paint on them. I just sanded the paint down a little, and they shot the new paint over the existing paint and primer. Now if anything, I've got a little more depth with the paint on all of it.Comment
