Ok, been really busy! sorry about not getting the updates up, but had school, and working on the car just about every night after school.. so the first updates are.......
here the car is in its primer. you can see, that I toned down the front fender roll, actually the man"my painter/bodyguy" made them alot less agressive. I guess I am just geting old.- they match the rear a bit better now.
had to stick this in here too!!!!!!! Just got it back on the road the other day, no sign of snow anymore!!! some cool lighting outside of the body shop, plus its great that I can now haul all my stuff back and forth now.
so, bye bye white shit box till next years snow session!Last edited by mikeedler; 03-09-2007, 09:00 AM.

here is the next day,-
this was Tuesday evening got the paint on the chassis. here you can see the color without the clear coat. the (MAN) spraying away!
here is a nice curve, it kinda shows a bit of the effect. but the color looks way off with the spray booth lighting and my camera.
another cool shot with some of the M3 lines that make me love the car so much--gotta love the ebay body kit!!!!!hahahhaha
and one more of the "effect", but none of this is anything compared to what the paint looks with the right amount of sunlight.
notice how different the color looks in all of the pics. I am EXTREMELY happy with the color!

here is on Wed. out of the spray booth, again looks like a different color.
and started to put a few thing back on in the motor compartment. even bought some of the 15 euro a roll tape to repair my wiring harness, that was starting to unravel a little bit.

and here are 2 pics that I took last night with my cell phone camera, I was in a rush to get out of the house, and forgot my camera. We picked up the complete front suspension with the flat bed again last night, and are going to be putting it in tomorrow. I couldnt wait to see what it would look like with a bit of contract, so I Put the rear wheels and a few things on it.
I am loving the rear plate filler now!, you couldnt see it on the old color.
I am on my way out the door right now to go glue the windows back in tonight!!!!

the complete color change is going to set me back in a range under 2000 euros-- but that is including all the misc. clips and broken stuff i am replacing. heck, just the metal flake, and special pigment (IN THE PAINT) costs over 200 dollars!!!! all my drug running money is geting used up!!!!dang!!
It is being done on a "I owe Stephan(the body shop owner) for the rest of my life" amount.
Its kinda a shame about the borrowed subframe, it has the good bilsteins, along with M3 CABs in it, and about 6 month old ball-joints. buttttttt I plan on taking that subframe to the powder coating shop down the street, and have it done after I reinforce it. My current one had a bunch of cracks that I repaired a few years agoLast edited by mikeedler; 03-09-2007, 09:06 AM.
