          As ridiculous as it sounds, I'd hack up some of the black plastic mesh from the E36 M3's front bumper. It's a large enough section that it'd probably cover enough of the area.

          The black painted chicken wire will get chipped up and look rough. We've got a customer at work that did the same with his TechArt front end on his 996.

          If you were going to bother with mesh, that's what I'd do.

            Reminds me of the e30 touring(R.I.P. now, stolen and wrecked) we build with my friends back in 2002, color is from lamborghini also, but I think it's not the same exact orange:

                          I haven't followed this whole thread, but the pics I've seen are all with a spoiler-less rear. It looks fuckin mean like that! Leave it off! Beautiful car.

                                So, here is the closing on this thread. I am about 98% done, the car needs a few minor adjustments on a few pieces to be completely done, but those will be done later. I am burnt out on it right now, and it isnt going anywere in the next month anyway. So here it is as it sits today. It is out in the Barn, chillin with my winter car.


                                the pedals in the car are original BMW pedals from the e46/e39 accesories

                                I was out there today, hauling a few parts for a project that I took on a few days ago for a friend.- check out my other thread. Here it is with my truck outside of its cozy big bed.




                                here is the evo II splitter thingy installed.




                                and here it is chillin with its other 1986 partner. tucked away in the garage.
