Yeah, I had someone do that photoshop for me about a year ago. I, for one, can deal with a gold-ish car, if done properly.

I liked the luxorbeige on some guy's 325 so I wanted to see how it would look on an M3 since it never came in that color. Definitely looks cool and different. I'd probably do it to an M if I ever get one or enough to pull it off.

Note that it is only a photoshop, so it won't look exactly the same in the picture as on the vehicle. I guess your closest bet would be to see some pictures of luxorbeige e30s or see one on the street.

If you choose that color, don't forget about me bro!!! $$$$$ :)

I dont normally advocate a non-E30///M color, but fuck.......Id do the luxorbeige myself. No joke. that shit looks nuts. It has my definite seal of approval. Is it a BMW color?

Personally I love both the luxor and the mineral silver. I think both would look hot. Maybe the luxor a tad more simply because its a bit more of an off the wall color for an m3 but I haven't seen mineral in person So I cant really say. either way the car is going to be the sex when its all back togethor.

I don't mean to be a jerk, but silver seems like a really boring color to paint a car like yours. Why not go for something that pops more?

I am still not 100% on the color, and seem to be leading away from liking the mineral silber idea, but really have no real idea. heck, when painting my truck a few months ago, it was actually in the spray booth when I decided to change the color from green to blue.
In some ways, I kinda want to go back to the more "boring" original stlye of color, and some days I wanna go crazy with the color.

                        Please keep the ideas coming!!!!!!

Well, we made a bit more progress today. The only thing really to pull apart still is the front subfame w/motor. I want to drop it all out in one comlete piece on the lift at my buddies body shop, and roll the suspension under it for painting from my old red 325i- its all stripped already in my yard. Found out that my sunroof was really jerry rigged in from the PO. Its going to be great to fix I am sure.

well, here are a few pics, doesnt look like much more progress in the pics, but it was alot.

found out a cat must have liked to crap in my trunk, about a ton of kitty liter in the battery tray area.

got everthing apart on the front end.

parts pile is getting larger, took the exhaust off, and found that 2 of the flange bolts were MIA.

I think I found something not so good. It looks like the rear swaybar mounting area may have been damaged before. what do you think??

                          sun roof stuff mostly out.

How'd you take out the sunroof cables? I've been trying to get them out of mine for awhile now...

Sorry to OT, but I gotta ask.

sunroof cables are still in, dont think i am going to take them out, just let them hang inside. I believe you need to pull the whole headliner down to get them out though.
