i actually like that 6 series color. i like where you are going with it and i think it will look good. classy, yet aggressive due to the m3's body style. i say, stick with it, it's unique and IMHO it will look good.

I wish it was attached to my house, cause itsa 30 minutes away.
I rent it from a good friend, the saddest thing is, he has a fully restored 1971 Mach I, that sits outside under an overhang.
I get a killer deal on the place by german garage renting standards, be prepared to pay about 175 a month at least if you try to find a place over here., and most of the german farmers barns around here are dirt floor, but there are some nice ones hidden out there.
funny thing about the orange paint you posted, I asked my daughter the other day what color to paint it, and she said to paint it the same color as a guy who lives in the next town over from me.
I dig it, but think it is a bit to "extreme", the color on the range looks nioce though.

I figured it would be dirt, i was told by a german that alot of people now days sell the farm land, but keep the barn, which usually doesn't get much use.
the eifel reagon is the least populated region in germany, most of which are farmers. I'm hopping this is true, and i'm hopping that i can find one close to my new house.
If i found a barn, do you think i could do my own work as far as putting a floor in and good lighting? I know the germans have wierd laws here on what you can and cannot do on your own.

well, a small update.
I pulled the front suspension/front subframe for my 4 lug swap! want to just roll that under it for painting, i figure it will be easier to just drop the front off of it on the lift at my buddies shop(motor, trans), than pulling the motor in my garage.plus, I dont want the overspray on all the suspension parts.
some of you might recognize the car that gave the donor front end, it was my old red rocket from last year,m its still sitting in my yard, damn I'm lazy.

Sorry for the rant,

go with your gut. paint it that silver from the 6 no matter what anyone says. color is such a subjective thing. people that hate it will love it once its done properly and trimmed out. i went thru this recently on a car where everyone told me i was nuts to pick the color i did and after seeing it they all changed their tune. you likied that silver for a reason. dont let anyone sway your choice

UPDATE 2nd Jan. 07
So, got to spend a few hours with the car again. Took it to my buddies shop and continued to take it apart. lifts are a great thing to have.
Had my daughter with, to take a few action pics, she is still trying to get the hang of it, but she did alright. She seemed to take more pics of the horse crap on the street and of herself though.
first things first, "load it up"
I think this pic looks cool, kinda has that old skool hot rod "tubbed" look to it.
got it on the truck, and stuffed as many parts as we could fit into it.
got back to the shop, and dropped the front subframe and components out. I dont know how many of you have done this this way, but it came out pretty easy, but I am sweating putting it back together when it is freshly painted.
Hooked the whole deal out and needed to take it back to my garage, cause i dont want him pissed that i am taking up too much room, and I dont want anything "disappearing"
Rs wheels never looked so good on a euro Ford flatbed!!!
And as we left tonight, finished with the 4 lug conversion- looking sweet. tomorrow we are going to start sanding.
Even Boss Hogg came to check us out!!!! see the caddy in the background!
