This 3.6 actually has Dinan software, as well as the Exhaust Cam Gear..so for now it will suffice...low miles and perfect compression. When I blow it up, then I will build a 3.8 with Coil on Plug ignition.

Nothing is really set in stone yet, I'm also looking at C3. I will be making a thread when the time comes however.

While fuggin trick as hell, Motons are rather overkill for the street. I doubt he'd be racing or risking a 60k E30 on a track. Besides you'd need a bag o' cement in the trunk to balance out the S38. :giggle:

Good luck with the project, James. I'm sure it'll be done to an extremely high standard.

No problem, I gotta figure out who to order the front/rear valances from. I know euro bumpers aren't a problem....

Great build thread and massive props for doing the work yourself.

I hope to see the car in person at a meet sometime.

This car is so good i want to go dump on some hoods.

I always wondered where you'd end up with this thing. Part of me figured a VS Motor or PPE-built 1200hp turbo 3.8L was always on the cards, ahaha.

Its unique, which is a key point to my car (except the wheels, for now).. I've always adored the M1, and the E28 M5, however the biggest attraction to me was the motor, just the pure mechanical rasp of the thing. Back when BMW made engines out of displacement, and not advanced technology.

I hate the look of the M50/S50 motors (albeit the Euro S50 is quite the looker) and don't feel they belong in the engine bay (especially the early cars). To me it has nothing to do with power/cost, it has to do with era and appropriate age parts, the power is a raw bonus, and at 330+ HP i'm sure I'll have some fun

Speaking of which, James did you buy your mtech 1 spoiler new or used. If it was used what did you do to make the rubber part of the spoiler look new again. I have sitting here and i dont know how to go about it. Thanks.
