Okay, so this was finished 3 weeks ago and ive just been busy/lazy and have not followed through with the thread.

DAY ONE: Friday after noon, from 430 to 11

Thats the end of day one, engine in, suspension swapped, cleaned up and car back in garage.

DAY TWO: Rear suspension/diff and gas tank hole fix'n

DAY THREE: Car was running from night before, had a miss but ran. Sorting out other issues and the car was driveable by the end of the day!

Ran poorly due to stuck injector, since fixed and runs like a champ. Have to replace the reverse switch [leaking], CSB, and cluster.

Either way its much better off than it was with a 300k M10 with poor compression and a failing oil pump!

      Dude,
I am going megasquirt and I have a Turner motorsports chipped ECU for your E car. It is in my car now and I can run with most if the "i" cars. I also have an additional 3.73 Diff if you would like.

Anyways, if you want the ECU/chip PM me.

Man! As long as you're around, that car will never ever die. I love the gas tank fix. Rip it out, fix that shit, and reload. Nice.

No kidding, so far the only thing other than it running better is her complaining that the clutch is too heavy

Try extending the clutch helper spring out a turn or two..

A pink what in a VW? I did this cause she asked and i was joking saying i would, thinking that no company would make pink engine paint. Then when she found that VHT did i had to paint it.

The clutch is heavy compared to the old one. It has a new slave cylinder [doesn't change pressure] but is otherwise the same pedal assembly. Its just that the clutch plate has to put more pressure on the disc because the m20 has more power/torque than the m10 so the difference is the feel, which doesn't bother me... i like heavy clutches. She will just have to get used to it.
