got sway bar links, fuel pulse absorber and my cross brace in the mail today!

turns out the fuel pulse thing only comes on the 87 model..oh well. now my engine doesnt feel so clogged and choked. i put in a fuel filter last week. I shook it and could hear everything movin around in there

cant wait till my sway bars get in so i can put in the brace, links and other goodies

removed intake mani, cleaned ICV, cleaned intake mani, cleaned up some wiring, snugged up the coolant hoses on the heater core/head. Still have no heat and cant figure out why.

Just go get it decked, man. As long as the combustion chambers didn't get hit I wouldn't worry about it.

I have a talent for losing mission-critical parts in the reassembly stage. I keep a small tray around now that every single part goes into when I take it off.

some of the scores were deep enough to cause blow by on multiple cylinders. getting it milled might not get them all out, and im not even sure of where to start to actually start taking off. i have no way of knowing where the original height of the deck was. so trying to deck it like that would cause me to not know how much thicker of a head gasket to get. i dont wanna spend the money to have it blow and have even more damage

Brought her home today for the very first time after the engine transplant. Got a carwash. Tried to install the stereo. Wiring was a hot mess from the previous owner. Rear shelf has premium speakers but seems like it didn't use to have it. I checked in the trunk, there is no amplifier. There were no tweeters either though I retroffited a pair in there. I swapped out the speakers for premium ones. But still haven't figured out the stereo wiring.

well i cleaned the heads of my pistons, and intake ports. raised the engine with spacers, and got my head back all shiny and fresh. also installed new front bumper that was not cracked or ripped (DB)

might get a skid plate made and mounted before the head goes back on- just waiting for parts to come in the mail now

I started to swap the front A/control arms. I got just about everything loose, but the big 22mm nut. I got to borrow some tools from work tomorrow in order to finish.
