do not worry about the rust... it makes it lighter.... Except you do not want to make it too light as per the rulz. if you do so at least you can add weight where you need it to help corner weight it, for example... My m3 has been stripped, carpet, interior, sound deadning and sunroof motor and it is 200 lbs under the pro3 spec.. just fyi. have fun with the project!

its a big diffrence between criv and i, im 6'2 and he is like... umm shorter. so he fit great in the seat but i didnt and since we are sharring the car we need to have it work for us both... besides, i dont think he has a problem with getting another seat because if i were to wreak in the seat in question it would snap my neck and upper vertabre like a twig.

I was having the same issue with the seats. I have a very long torso. I needed that extra inch that the VAC mounts took up and they weren't centered on the wheel either. I ended up having my cage guy fab up some mounts on the floor. My seat is absolutely as low as is possible now. Mine is the grey interior and the other is where I stole the idea from.

Are you guys running a bolt in cage?

Ok lets see... update, We have two seats but the one we wanted to use as driverwas a really nice kevlar sparco. anyway we cant use it because im too tall and my neck would snap in a wreak... so we need a diffrent one.
we havent really worked on it but our rollcage came in!!!!! Criv is looking at it right now at his parents and Hopefully(fingers crossed) pics will be up tonight becaus i have yet to see it myself.
we havent played with the car in 2 weekends so get ready for a big update comming next weekend.
Tonight or tomorrow criv should post pics of the things we did and our work space because it is cleaner then its every been. Hurray1

So in the process of stripping btm's old car, his steering wheel came out and went into my 318is to get rid of that airbag steering wheel from hell.

But that's not to say we didn't have fun with my old steering wheel...

Lemme know what you think. I love this personally, and you should do it because I took alot of time actually making this (lots of stuff that didn't pan out, this was what I was happiest with).
