Car is amazing. Just saw this thread. Very cool. Everything was done right. I would expect nothing less from the motor build as well. Looking forward to seeing more progress on the car.
Does this car have original paint? if so how did you go about rolling the fenders without cracking the paint? i know some heating was done, but how did the paint react? im in a dilema, its either crack the paint and run 16x 8.5 rs 003's or run 16x7s.

No, not original. The paint cracked a little bit in the rear but not the front.
So I know I'm way late to the party and all, but how did you get the E30M cluster to work? Did you use an E36M tach sender or what?
The M3 cluster hasnt been installed but its a direct swap, just change the coading plug and you will be good. you will need to get a sender and run some wires for the oil temp guage to work.
Bob i rolled my fenders too. the rears are easy because the half is already rooled. i just followed that and really heat the paint inside. i had a hard time doing fronts. the metal is really thin and it's tricky to start the roll without stretching the fenders. the DS craked abit because the paint there was not perfect to begin with and at the same time being carefule not to cut the rubber of the roller (i just borrowed it). my car should be ready for some 16x8 and 16x9 ;)

Yeah, now if only it weren't $300... ;) what'd you pay, if you don't mind sharing?

I wanna say I picked up the cluster for $200 and then spent another $100 on a new bezel because the M logo was faded on the original. I ended up selling the old bezel for $50, so I guess I have about $250 into it total.
