Got the display driver working - these aren't the actual display that is going to be used, just a test set-up for programming.


Here is it with the lights off. I want to be able to "dim" the display along with the dash lights. I have a stock e30 headlight switch that of course allows you to dim the dash lights. So, I'll break that out and use the output of it as an input of my unit, so that the display will dim along with the all the other lights - nice hun?


I got out the hazard switches and defrost switches - thinned them down, finished them up - what a pain in the ass What you see here is about 8 hours of work.


I just happened to have a lot of defrost switches (thanks Joe Funk) - hence the yellow and green. I'm not sure what colors people will want - but it's nice to have choices.




Next up is making up some Narrow-band AFR, Wide-band AFR, and voltmeters.

George, sorry if its been asked already, but has using the light bar display from an OBC ever crossed your mind? Obviously too wide to fit inside a switch, but would work in the dummy light area.

Got a little more done on a few projects, so updated the sig.

I spent one full day on one-touch windows - now I need to get back to some long over-due client's projects.

BTW guys, buy a OBC temp sensor and help me out here.

That is a thought - but being that I've ruined 4 of them, and I know what I'm doing, makes me think twice about that. I actually end up measuring them with calipers 2 or 3 times while I am working with them to get them even and the right thickness - about 0.015 inch - the thickness of 4 pieces of paper.

Where is the "dummy light area" you speak of, you mean the idiot lights? Don't worry, I have a plan for that as well.

OK - this keeps getting asked - and that's ok! But, I'm not ready to talk prices - not just yet. I'll be sitting down and figuring my cost, time to build, what it's worth, and how much time I've put into each one before I talk prices.

In the realm of pricing - assuming there is low, reasonable, and insane - They will be reasonable. Keep in mind the labor that goes into each one, and all the "R&D" before all of that even happens. As you know - I'm not a huge plant in china that turns out honda parts for $10. This is all 100% custom, one-off stuff. If I can sell a few - make a few dollars to keep making more stuff - then I'm happy.

Speaking of that - I really need to set up an online web store - but can't for the life of me to think of a good domain name. Oh well, I have too much other work to do anyways.
