I actually want to use it next to the windows up and down switch.
I have a shift console with an extra space cut out and i wan to install it there. Therefore the vertical read.

I do NOT recommend that any potential buyers here choose to buy a part from George Graves. To date, he has not come through on his promised delivery date/schedule on this part:

Furthermore, after many many requests for a real update, he has ignored these requests and refuses to provide any info.

Based on this experience, I would not recommend or refer anyone to George Graves for parts, until he chooses to respect those customers that he readily accepted money from, and delivers to those customers the promised item.

George has my money, and I am cool with it. George will deliver. Sometimes the logistics on special parts and custom units takes an unexpected hit, I have been there and done that in other areas, I can assure you the stress you have over this, George has 10 fold.

I have bought many items from George, this being the first one with an issue, and I am not really worried. Just antsy to get me bits!

George has my money too - though for an interior light dimmer - and I have complete faith that I will receive it from him as soon as he can build it and ship it. I wouldn't have placed the order if I couldn't live without the money and/or the part.

You can be cool with it if you want to. But I'm not. I don't know George. And it doesn't matter. You can't accept customers' money with the promise of a particular delivery timeframe, and then blow that timeframe out by many months and then refuse to even respond to requests for info or updates. That's not acceptable in any business. I guarantee you, if UUC or Active Autowerkes or Turner or any of those vendors behaved in this manner, there would be an ugly thread about it here in a matter of days. It's just not acceptable. Apparently George gives incredible handjobs, as you describe, because I think if it was any other vendor on this forum, they would have heard from a moderator here about getting their shit together.

Well, apparently this is what it takes to get a response. Unfortunate, George, but you made this bed. A little bit of communication goes along way. No communication makes people angry.

I can't speak to your outstanding better-than-the-big-boys level of after-sales customer support. It sounds great, though, the way you describe it...

In the mean time, I'm looking forward to reasonably-regular updates here on the forum, and to receiving my tracking number.
