Those were standard refurbished calipers, Hawk HT10 pads en Sandtler discs. They sucked and broke :

Just received the rear brakekit from Lee, so they are ready for fitment :

Very nice, I look forward to more updates...
Keep me posted on the flat bottom, as it's something I've been thinking about for ages now.
Also on another note, I was thinking if my transmission gets to hot, I could alwayss fit a cooler in the trunk alongside where I plan on mounting the diff coolerLeave a comment:

Thanks :). The we weighed the car at about 1120 kg's incl driver and a half tank of fuel. As we are a bunch of heavy guys it's around a 1000kg's empy ;). Not much cutting but a lot of light parts and also almost no wiring, no headlights, no thing that aren't neccesary. The cage is fully steel, so no chromoly.Thats incredibly light!! , what gauge steel was used on the cage.
is there any cutting done to the car ?
I was looking at around 1100kg for our e30 S50b30 race car... but I've done a lot of cutting, and it's not getting any electrics bar the engine management, brake lights and turn signals, aswell as gauges to monitor,
Also got a M-tech 2 fibreglass bumper cover and valance, so nothing is behind it, on the rear it's the same, but it's still going to be chopped up in the rear, to fit a Diffuser, as I can see the rear valance acting as a air brake... creating tons of drag.
What aero options are you looking at ? I want to do a complete under tray, but I'm worried about heat, eventhough I diff cooler is going to be installed in the trunk.
I want your shell, it's so clean
We also are going to try to make a flat bottom and we've got some carbon diffusers lying around to fit the back end. With a cool air tunnel we hope to give the diff enough cooling, temperature will be monitored closely.
The rearbumper is kind of a parachute right now but we hope to correct that with the diffuser, it's a long term project btw.
First thing up is the big brake kit and a flocked dashboard with datalogger and a purpose serving dashboard.Leave a comment:

my lord..its so perfect. the body looks great because its a RACE CAR.. i think flares and 255s or 275 would make it look fucking rediculous. anyways, well built and cant wait to see it all done with the new motor.Leave a comment:

Well we didn'go for 5lug because there's no need. We've got the wheels, the brakes and the suspension setup we like for now. Maybe in the future somewere a full adjustable coilover setup.
Wel there isn't very much room, it actually just fits, just 2 mm or so. at he bottom.
At the moment, there are no fibreglass doors available for a 4 doors e30. We're looking into having them made somewere in the future. Also, no real plans there yet, but have done some priceshopping already.
well cool, let me know, i would be interested in getting a set too to keep the costs reasonable. I live in germany near the lux and belgium border, so if produced locally, we wouldn't have to bother about shipping. composite doors are way down on the list for my track carLeave a comment:

+ 11venty millionI can't believe this guy built a fucking stripped out, purpose built race-car and you people have the audacity to comment on the aesthetic quality of his fiberglass race bumpers. M-tech2 racecar? Seriously? Should he slam it on an H&R cupkit and swap out the wheels for sportmaxxors? Would that make you happy?
Anyhoo, I love your car. %100 purpose built. A build like I dream of doing.Leave a comment:
