Well we didn'go for 5lug because there's no need. We've got the wheels, the brakes and the suspension setup we like for now. Maybe in the future somewere a full adjustable coilover setup.
Wel there isn't very much room, it actually just fits, just 2 mm or so. at he bottom.
At the moment, there are no fibreglass doors available for a 4 doors e30. We're looking into having them made somewere in the future. Also, no real plans there yet, but have done some priceshopping already.

that is quite light! if you want to do fiberglass doors, keep me informed, i'd like something lighter for my 4 door as well. Thanks all :)
The car actually is just under a 1000kg. Was more then we hoped it's not too much. It's the doors and fully steal cage that make it more heavy. In sometime we will be trying some weightcutting again. Removing the blower, some small bits here and there and maybe making lighter doors.
also, is the roll cage a tight fit at the door pillar? with my seat in, it looks like ther isn't much room between the seat and the b-pillar for bars to pass throughLeave a comment:

I know that nando but are the H&R coilover body's aluminium? I mean he had already sourced H&R's and I imagine as with most E36 stuff being cheaper than E30 stuff these days I would gone that route.Leave a comment:

huh? you can still mount the swaybar on the strut with 4 lugs. you just need to weld the tab onto the strut.. swapping to 5 lug struts just for that would be a big waste of money.Leave a comment:

I was wondering why you went with 4 lug vs 5 lug set ups which would have allowed you to mount the anti sway bars on the strut vs the control arm.Leave a comment:

good choice with the single vanos engine mate, so much less hassle involved if the motor starts playing up which the S52 always doesLeave a comment:

ahhhh i see..looks pretty low mileage. Thats gonna be one sick brick rocket!Well first we will fit the (euro) M52B28. This because I've just bought a 328i e36 automatic for parting and the engine is in pretty good shape. So this will go in first with the intake from the current engine, the M50B25.
The (euro) S50B30 isn't new. We bought it in germany from a guy who had it in his e30 convertable. It's E30 ready but when you use an engine from a street car with lots of miles, it's way better too refresh it before using it at the track. Otherwise you will kill it in notime, have my experiences there with a different car, which is a waste for such a nice engine :P.Leave a comment:

Thanks all :)
At the moment we use the standard management. We've just built a megasquirt and the Innovate LC1 is going to help that one ;). We hope to combine it with a racetechnology's Dash2 and DL1.

First plans now is the Massive Brakes upgrade, after that an M52B28 and then this one :

I've been looking over your build on your site for some time. Something about clean engine bays I can't help but love.
I'm also curious on the weight, and if you can get it lighter while still being cost effective. :)Leave a comment:
