Damn do i love your taste when it comes to modifing. Could'nt understand why you sold the M5, but good thing you got it back. Sick looking GLI. Do you have picks of the Wabbit?

Awesome, good call getting the m5 back but what made you think the gli was a better family car than the m5? I'd think the opposite but I've never owned either car so i dont really know.

    ok update..

long story short..i sold the car 2 years ago before the birth of my daughter. i got our old vw gli back and figured it was more of a family car than the m5. sold th em5 to mikey who kept it in great shape for the last couple years...i modded the gli to my tastes then sold it. becoming bored with no project, i started to build another 16v turbo car, this time a rabbit..got quite a ways through it when th eopportunity to buy the m5 popped up..i did not hesitate, parted the rabbit, bought the m5 back...

parted and traded work for the rabbit project...through the deals i was able to buy basically everything i had originally for this proiject and then some...

parts picked up so far...low compression je's, cometic headgasket, arp head bolts, precision t70 turbo, uuc clutch set up, all new gaskets and seals for the trans, gc coilovers, larger lips for the rears, wheels will now be 18x9.5 up fornt and 18x11 out back with 295/30's..

arches are getting flared and new paint will be done...

as of rigght now i am still a couple grand up, so most likely will refresh the head and interior also while we are at it..

i am very motivated to work on it, but recently fell up[on some medical issues that require surgery and a 10-12 week recovery, so i will take any volunteer work if anyone gets bored;)

other than that, great to join the bmw ranks again...
