    1984 euro 323i-new project

i picked up a pretty clean body euro 323i. it was imported from germany in 1985 by some company out of San Fran and now 23 years later i have it :) roughly 160k on the clock, original paint with a lot of pealing clear coat, 30k on shocks and brakes, junk yard m20b25 with all new gaskets, water pump, oil pump, 2k on clutch, and thats about everything i can think of. Problem is... the head is warped. So i plan on swappin on a used good condition one i have laying around and gettin on with the project.

Future mods for the spring time (everything i already have)

-swapping over all motronic 1.3 components
    -trunk mounted battery
-infinity rear speakers and pioneer fronts
    -12" sub with 500w amp
    -lowering springs
    - tsw evo wheels

I'm in the process of a 2.7i build so im sure that'll find a nice home in the 323

hate it or love it but it'll be a CLEAN dd until i sell it that is :)

here are some more recent pictures of the project...

i did the rear battery conversion and wired up a 12" sub. put the stock air box back in but installed some headlight rear covers plus a bunch of grill clips. I started cleaning up the interior a little bit but its pretty clean for a cheap project beater.

let me know of some things i can do to tidy it up and make it clean

Nice, never seen the non-locking glovebox before.... Not bad for a cheap "beater" project, not bad at all. Any chance those are cloth sport seats under those covers?

i found a similar car in reno, nv about 4 months ago. guy only wanted $900. and as I live in Commifornia, they wanted $2,500 for the inspection process whether it passed or not. i wasn't going to roll the dice on a car that i might buy and not be able to drive. stupid thing was, the car was a 323i, but it had been built to US spec. and they still were breaking balls. wtf!

I had the chance to pick up a 323i. And I didnt. Damn I regret it..

Congrats on picking that one up, looks like it will make a hell of a clean daily driver!
