Ya dude H&R races are awesome. I have them in my trunk that were given to me and if I decided I want it to look lower I am going to wait to see how I like these eibachs. Post pics when you put the races on so I can see how try look. Ya rotas are pretty cheap. Look online I think you can find them for like 140 a piece. Ya I wish I had gotten 16 or 17's rather then 15's. And I want 225's on it to make it look meaty. We will see.
Once you sand it you can just spray paint the wing really nice

enjoying the renovation. i can really appreciate the work, especially after someone has gone to great lengths to do so much bad.
any luck with the interior? have you tried steam cleaning?
what about rust issues, saw some on the rear valance- which i guess might be addressed anyways because of the exhaust 'mod' of the previous owner-
anyhow, good work and keep taking more pics of the progress-Comment

I did get "new" seats, haven't gotten around to taking pics of those yet, they are MINT black vinyl comfort seats from an '84 318i
Eventually i'll get new carpet, and the rust i have no idea what to do yet, i am going to wait for the warm weather to start doing body work. the rear valences aren't replaceable are they?Comment

New exhaust!
I got an Ansa OEM replacement cat-back exhaust from BMA to replace the old used falling-apart one that i had in there to replace the fart can of the PO.
So anyway here is the exhaust:
hanging up in the garage ready to paint. I painted it to keep if from rusting on the outside at least. And i think a flat black exhaust looks good.
primered:
painted black:
The old exhaust literally fell off when i snipped the metal bands holding it in. There were all kinds of loose pieces clanging around inside the muffler.
the new exhaust in!! with this exhaust where it is supposed to be makes the cuts in the rear valence even more blatant and noticeable. It really bugs me but hey, i will take care of that in time.
the exhaust is so quiet compared to what it had sounded like, when i first started the car, i didn't think it had started, because i couldn't hear it.
next up: Bilstien sport shocks, H&R race springs, and IE billet rear shock mounts, so stay tuned!Comment
