I don't envy you. A dashboard swap is one job I really never want to do....well, that's really about the only thing I have never done on an e30. I'll have to go to the newsstand and pic up that mag, looks interesting.

Yeah and its basically the first job I've ever done no an E30....good place to start huh? Anyone know what spark plugs people on here like to use in the a 325e? I've searched by the way. Things don't seem to come up as easily when I search for them on here as they do on some other forums I've used. Maybe its the titles people give threads or something.

Congrats on your first dash swap ;) Way worth the trouble to have a clean dash.

I use good old Bosch Supers w8lcr I think.

EDIT: I have a 325i though. I think, depending on the year of you car, you will need wr9ls.

Thanks buddy! I regretted it at times but I'm glad its over. I feel it brought up the value and presence of my car.

Today I painted the headlight surrounds black after giving them a good wash. There was so much sand and dirt pack around the headlights.

and regarding the spark plugs; my car is an 86' 325e

I installed E30 M3 style hood and trunk gaskets (or whatever they're called). They look great and should keep pine needles out. Hopefully they'll hold up to the elements and wear.

Ummm the DC Corleone or whatever his name is? He's an official site something or other. They're Chinese made ones, he used to have USA ones.

:hitler: WTF!!! My car won't start! :hitler:

The lights all work in the car and what not, but the car won't even turn over at all. All I hear is sorta an electrical noise I guess and maybe the fuel pump? Any help?

I check my intake filter to see if it was dirty yesterday but I put everything back the way it was. I also Removed my rear deck speakers and they put them back....this blows cause I just got one of my Recaro seats bolted down and was looked to drive it around. I haven't driven it for about 2 weeks but I have started it a few times. The last start up was about a week ago.

The quality seems to be ok. Will see how they hold up. The only thing that could go wrong is that the hood shutting might pull the adhesive off overtime. Definitely look really good though.

Probably those gaskets, I heard they can cause hard starting.

And if you don't buy that, I'd check out your fuel pump.

What gaskets? But why would it go from starting to nothing at all. :( It sounds like the fuel pump is functioning?

                                Does it crank?

                                If not check your starter.
