Picked her up today. 1987 325iS Automatic. 117,000 miles, w/timing belt job 10,000 miles ago. Black leather sports, MT1 wheel in it still, dealer mounted radar detector, and the first car alarm known to BMW's. It's like a damn commodore 64 under the hood.
Will serve for winter status so i can protect the other from all this snow and salt.
Preliminary issues:
-Coolant level and oil level are on check panel, could be them actually being low, or faulty sensors.
-Drivers side black visor won't stay up, drove me nuts in the 3 minutes i drove it.
-Autoshift knob broken (button is jammed closed, so free shifting)
-Trunk latch sticks when pushed in (maybe I can clean and lube it? I hear this is common)
-Blown resistor for blower motor (i have a dozen or so of these, let me know if you ever need one)
-Radiator is shot (picking up a used one tomorrow for $40)
-Brakes could use attention (i have new pads already and will send the rotors to be turned by a buddy of mine, Freebie!)
-Exhaust is gone, i should take a picture of it, kinda funny how bad the muffler is. (car came with a used Ansa Sport rear section for an "e". I'll just have my exhaust guy make a little 2-1 y-connector, i have new exhaust hangers too)
-Biggest issue is the rust. Battery compartment is surprisingly nice, but as you can see, the drivers side is missing. Going to be cutting out a complete, good condition panel off of a local parts car for free. The other area is the passenger floorboard area. You know the square box, just past where the fender bolts on under the car? Lot of people mistake it for a jack point. Well, that's caved in a little. Going to try a BFH, some POR15 and call it a day.
-Both iS and eS front valances are bad. Not sure what to do up there yet.
-Stock metal valance behind it is bent up too. Might be able to get that off that parts car though, now that i think about it.
-Scored a rear Euro bumper for a good price that'll go on as soon as it gets here. I can piece together the front slowly (and hopefully cheaply too)
Tomorrow, i'll start digging into it right away (took the day off). Hope to have wheels off, on jackstands, bumpers off, radiator out, resistor swapped out.
Thanks for looking, i'll keep this updated.

This truck rocked. 6-speed diesel w/straight pipe exhaust.

The bad, ahhhhhhh!
