New Daily Driver - Im back - Meet Yana

Hey guys, been a while. Some may know I left wall street January 08, took some time to hang with the family and work on project(hence project Nina). August of 08 I took a job as Director of Operations with a small family owned business headquartered in NYC. Cool company with a diverse portfolio, I work directly for the owner managing the various business lines. Ive been spending a lot time going back and forth to Manchester, VT where we have a retail operation(Home furnishing and Cafe called Depot62). Ive been working straight for the last 4 months, loving the non corp environment. But missing the free time for car projects.
When I sold Nina I was going to start on the Touring but I only got as far as moving it from PA storage to NJ storage...:(
Ive been using the ix to go back and forth to VT, love it in the snow but missing a 5 speed.
So welcome to the family Yana. She is a 91 318is with 200k on the clock, hasnt run for 4 years, found her sitting in the back of the driveway couple of towns over. She was well kept until she broke down.
Took her to my mechanic to bring her back to life. The upper oil pan gasket had gone so the oil was not circulating... The fuel pump had gone bad. In addition, the brakes, battery, hoses, belts and fluids will be changed. The exhaust is rusted out.

After a couple of days at the mechanics, she is running nice. Picked up a used Turner exhaust and chip. Looking forward to see how she sounds. I have enough parts in the garage to bring her back to life and even add some nice touches. Ellips, Euro grill, plate filler, smoked turners and few other goodies I found in the garage will all be going on over the next couple of weeks.;)

She will get a good detailing as soon as Vlad has some open garage space at his shop and I can take a day off.

    So stay tuned...

Be careful taking it to Vlad. I know he's in project-withdrawl too. It might go missing.

I cant wait to see what comes out of this one...
Hemingway said it best. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely games.”
