Update from today

Went over to Jeffs to finish up the car today...

Unfortunately we didnt get her done. Almost.

Jeff worked on the hoses, belts and engine bay fluids while I worked on cosmetics.

Now to the front...

Going with the rally theme here folks.

Replaced sealed beams with US Elips and HIDs.

Smoked turns, Euro Grill, IS Lip(dont mind the white clips, thats all I had in the garage), and the cca thingey majie.

Hella Amber fogs, with much thanks to Nunzio.

Jeff did an incredible install on the lights, everything is heat wrapped and came out tight. Fogs are controlled by a single switch above the radio in one of the black covers.

Lower fogs will get replaced next with amber ones.

I started on the interior, its a mess, most likely will not do a complete detail until the spring, when I can pull the seats out and shampoo the carpet, etc.

For now taking the two consoles out for some cleaning. PO was a smoker and fairly sure blind as there was ashes within 12" of the ashtray.:(

Also took out the cluster to replace the bulbs which were burned out... While at it...;)

Too bad I sold/gave away all the green alpina stripes:(

Tomorrow, diff and trans fluid, button up the interior and put the steelies/snow tires on. Then off to the master for some detail work to bring the paint back to life.

You know, even though you tell me all of what you're doing on the phone, seeing pics is so much more fun. How do you like the color of those HID's? Too blue, or ok?

And that first pic of the fogs you sent me, i was a little unsure. But now that I see them again, with the covers on, I really like them! They should help out with those long drives up to VT.

Jeff did a really good job. If only that ass ever went online, he could see how much all his work is appreciated. You need to do a proper photo shoot of his iX, btw. That thing is so unique (in a good way)

Brought her home tonight, man she drives nice, first m42 and love it already. Never drove a stock m42 so not sure what the exhaust/chip combo is doing.

Ill be up in VT until Sunday so Im dropping at Vlads so he can have some fun with her. Im sure more pics coming soon.
