I sold my original seats with sliders to a buddy so he could use them for his '48 F1 project. So I believe I have recaro sliders with an E30 specific base. I say believe because I got those mounts over a month ago and I just can't remember. Had I gone fixed back I would have probably gone with Massive mounting brackets. It was all a package deal. What will you use to mount them? One of these?

They are Recaro Speeds that are black with red stitching and the 5th hole for a harness if and when I decide to go that route. They are quite comfortable and should look pretty nice with the rest of the interior plans.
I'll try and get a cell phone picture uploaded.Leave a comment:

That makes sense. It still looked pretty close. No issues with the engine torquing over?
I took apart my M42 hoses last night to see if any fit. I didn't get very far but the ones I did try looked too convoluted and not very "pretty". I have a couple of hoses that might work for the ICV. More importantly I found a reducer for the ICV to throttle body boot.I used the e36 upper and lower radiator hoses and they fit perfectly with my m20 radiator. Also, I reused my m20 hoses to and from the firewall with the bypass system still intact. I think I had to trim the one that connects to the obd2 coolant pipe slightly. I had to bend the top heater core pipe down and towards the engine otherwise the top heater hose would interfere with the fpr vacuum line attachment to the intake manifold.
Got two packages yesterday. Starts with R and ends in O. Been waiting for these for a while. I'll take some pictures when I get back this weekend.Leave a comment:

Yep, I've referenced those pictures previously as to what I'm doing wrong. Maybe because the motor is shimmed? I dunno. I'm routing the fuel injection harness below and that helps clean it up. The bellow was hitting the manifold pretty hard though so eliminating it looks a bit better and makes everything clear. I hope I can get the relays back under the cover though. The manifold hit the plastic underneath the relays. Perhaps if I remove that piece there would be enough clearance? Tired of slapping the manifold back on and off though. Ideally I would get my hoses set, slap the manifold on and then finish routing the wires.
Yours is quite clean though...
Yeah, you don't use the plastic part under the relays. Also, you can see that I had to trim the main cover to clear the manifold.
Love your project BTW!Leave a comment:

Here's a pic of mine:

Fits with intake manifold and m3 harness covers just fine:

Hey josh, the build still looks amazing! Im glad the crimps worked out well for you.
I got a couple tricks up my sleeve to make the harness and the relays fit with the manifold, I'll snap some photos for you.
Cheers
