Big thanks to Rob and hq autosport for cutting me a deal on the system. Can't wait to start on the E21 now!

Unfortunately the garage needs some big help. I'm continuing to mess with the layout a bit. Getting some good ideas from garagejournal though.

I love Garagejournal. It's dangerous though, there's a lot of temptation to spend a LOT of money after spending time there....

        Thanks for the teaser! :)

Enjoy! We were very temped to keep the ITB and I'm not sure we won't regret selling them later!

Good thing you bought that ITB setup, if you didn't I would be a 17 year old in major debt.

I love everything about this car. Every time I needed motivation to get off my lazy ass, this thread was enough. Can't wait to see it done, good luck.

                I am still alive

Lest anyone was thinking work on the car had halted, I thought I might post some progress. My time in the garage has been reduced but I'm still managing to find some time to work on the car.

A couple of engine bay pictures

I finally got an air filter on this thing. I went with the AEM dryflow. Eventually I'll figure out a way to make an air box but this will suffice for now.

I finally got the bumpers on the car along with the euro bumper trim.

Try as I might, I just can't manipulate the valence so the is lip fits correctly. I may have to bite the bullet and source a new valence. The lower rocker panels are bothering me too. I may have to consider is skirts to clean it up. sschin's car is a good example of what it would look like.

I also got the trim painted. I redid the front kidneys and headlight trim rings.

The shadowline trim was a pain to put back on. I actually have to repaint a piece. I'm struggling with the rain gutters right now but I'll get there.

                A little mucci love...

So progress is being made. The car has been driven multiple times to sort out the bugs. Catalytic converter smells and there is a small power steering leak. Brakes seem to drag after running the car and applying the parking brake. And my ABS light seems to tell me I have a bad sensor somewhere so I need to diagnose that.

But god is this car fun. It revs so quick and I have no traction in 1st and 2nd. Hopefully I can get a video later this week and upload it. More importantly, it rides nice, not at all uncomfortable.

Still a lot to do. I've got the interior to finish and then the color sanding. Hopefully I'll find the time!

How hard was it to yank that weather stripping for the window?

I'm really falling in love with those wheels!!! They're so perfect.

The rubber or the trim? The rubber isn't so bad. In fact, compared to the rest of the items on the door it looks like crap. I'll have to get some new ones later. The trim on the other hand sucks. The left hand door trim has some waves in it. It's way better than before but still irritates me.

Very nice progress. I said it before, I am super jealous of those wheels. A few more updates, and you'll have me on the horn to Compomotive to beg them to start making low-offset TH1780's again...

I'm gonna start putting my car back together after a respray and will be powdercoating my trim to shadowline it--don't know if you've considered that. Should hold up well. Since I have the pop-out rear windows that are one piece, I'm probably gonna just paint that bottom trim piece. Either that or find a pair of M3 rear windows.

If I were to do it again, powder-coating would be ideal. But since the back windows already had SEM on them, I had to use SEM on everything else so it would match...because I really didn't want to take those windows out again!
